Hey guys! I'm busy developing this game right here: Terrors of War on Steam . There's a discord server you can access from the Steam page. Any feedback or thoughts would be welcome! I'll be giving keys up to around a 100 people. The style is very C&C like but with a mix from other titles like Age of Empires and Company of Heroes. :) Right now it sports 2 factions: US and Germany. There's around 7 infantry and 7 vehicles for each faction. Upgrades and progression will be done in an Age of Empires style. Thanks, I appreciate the comment! I've developed this solo but since I'm more of a programmer, I've hired folks on Fiverr to help make some of the assets.
 
I'm constantly adding to and improving the game, but here's a general idea of the whole concept I have in mind:

A huge amount of inspiration comes from C&C Generals though it's not trying to be a WW2 version of it. Inpsiration also comes from other titles such as the Company of Heroes series and the Age of Empires series. I have added mechanics that I like and find appealing such as forming groups, setting their formations, adding superweapons and making vehicles and tanks take little to no damage(depending on the vehicle) from small arms, but anti tank weaponry can do a number on them. You'll also be able to generate more income from different buildings found on the map. Fortunately, because of the early stage of development, I don't mind changing aspects based on input received if it makes enough sense and would benefit gameplay.

There's 2 factions available as of now such as the USA and Germany. I am planning to add at least the UK, Russia, Japan and Italy too. On release modes such as skirmish, custom scenarios and multiplayer will be available with campaigns coming later if there's enough interest. Special things to look out for are the superweapons that will be included. Nuclear bombs, V2 rockets and the Schwerer Gustav among other weapons. To use each weapon you'd have to take part in a scenario. For instance, to use a nuclear bomb you would have to capture a "secret" laboratory and keep it captured for a set amount of time. When you've had the facility under control for, for example 10 minutes, research will complete and you can start production of the bomb and then call it in if you have all the required buildings and tech to do so.
Each scenario will be like this except for some such as the railway cannon. There you would have to attack a fortified section of railway, take control of the cannon with some of your units and use it on your foes. You can target anything and anyone. Just remember that anyone else can attack your railway cannon and use it against you. If they choose to blow it up the train will take the cannon away and a new one will arrive in a set amount of time with a new group protecting it. The later the match gets the stronger the group will be who's protecting it.

These scenarios should make multiplayer matches very interesting...

Other than that you will be able to use normal types of call ins too such as artillery bombardments, paradrops and recon flights. Multiplayer types include standard annihilation, victory point capturing and time attack. Time attack is where you'd try to win as fast as possible. If everyone is still playing by the end, the player/team with the highest score wins.

When it comes to resources, you can gather from your standard caches but I will also be adding capability to capture businesses in cities, farms, oil rigs and so on to generate extra income. These buildings can be destroyed if you choose to play a scorched earth type of match.
Finally, the game has been designed from the get go to have mod-support and will easily accommodate players to expand and mod it as they please. Support will come a bit later in the game's life as the main features and gameplay has to be focused on first.
