A group active in hospitality, property developments as well as farming side are looking for an accountant, managing of all financial aspects of the portfolio's assigned including but not limited to the following:
1. Full accounting function up to trial balance.
2. Compiling, loading of daily/weekly/monthly payments for approval by director.
3. Preparation of budgets, cashflows and actuals reporting and reconciling any discrepancies.
4. Liaising with group auditors for financial statements/audits etc.
5. Processing of payroll, SARS VAT/EMP201/EMP501 etc.
6. Managing of company cashflows, ensuring customers pay on time etc.
7. Maintain asset registers and related insurance policies.
8. Other ad-hoc duties as required by the director.
Minimum qualifications/requirements for the role:
1. Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles with 2 years post article experience.
2. Professional Qualification advantageous (e.g. CA (SA)/ PA (SA) etc.)
3. Entrepreneurial at heart, and an all-rounder as this position is not just accounting but operations/management as well.
4. Reliable transport and living less than 40km's from Stellenbosch.
5. Advanced Excel skills a must with Xero accounting under your belt as spreadsheets must be your bread and butter!
6. Clear criminal record as reference checks need to be done.
The experience gained is exceptional, so a go-getter attitude is required. This position is cut-out for a young male individual who looks to broaden his arisen away from purely accounting.
