Damn those new iphones are fugly.

Notice how they hardly showed the front during launch ? Thick bezels ugly bezels, bar at the top ... so bad ... so so bad ... power sharing ? Sounds familiar ... wireless charging ... sounds familiar ... more than 1 camera ... sounds familiar.

No innovation from apple in the past 10 years

Got my 10 plus. And I love it ... Big improvement on Android since the 6s edge days. Ui is clean.

For me I'm happy I went with this instead of the pro max iPhone. Primarily cause I wanted a different experience from the iPhone X which the new 11s would be similar to. Did I mention I love the big screen [emoji2]

If only Iphones was priced better...Would have a much bigger audience....

I’ll be honest. I don’t stare at the back of my phone. I like looking at the screen. If you asked me to draw the back of my phone I wouldn’t be able to.

Still using an iPhone 7 and wouldn’t mind the upgrade.

The best thing about the new iPhone is how it makes the other iPhones more affordable now! :D
iPhone11 Pro is now the expensive one in the bunch and iPhone 11 is now selling brand new for less than I paid for my Galaxy S8 a year ago.

I agree with @adamr about the devices nowadays being too powerful for us to even notice the difference. i mean, for Pete's sake, the phones are more powerful than some game consoles and more powerful than some of my new-ish Macs and PCs...

I was thinking that after I put in my 512Gb flash drive into my Windows phone, with the power it has and the fact that it runs Windows 10 on it (meaning the store apps for Pc will work on my Phone also) I could use my Phone as a replacement PC. Just plug it in on any monitor and voila, instant PC.... unfortunately that was not the case. If you plug your phone into the WinPhone PC adaptor you basically get to run office but at full screen on a large screen and that is about it...

On the other hand, plug your Galaxy into a monitor and suddenly you get a new OS with Android apps you can concurrently and position it on screen like you would on Windows or Linux... Basically your Android phone actually DOES become a PC replacement and thanks to Wish.com selling 512Gb HDDs for R150 (vs Apple requiring you to spend R-thousands per GB) the iPhone really is a worthless piece of junk nowadays :(

Just to put this into perspective: I have been an iPhone user since iPhone 1. I have had iPhones and ONLY iPhones up to the iPhone 5S. At that point I was required to buy an Android phone for work purposes and I hated having to do so but ever since I did I stopped using iPhones completely. So much so that now when I have to help my wife with a setting on her iPhone I have no idea how to do anything... Everything seems better hidden than the menu items on an Android phone... and that is an achievement in and of itself...

There is only 2 reasons to buy an iPhone now:
1. If you want to do facial animation using iClone
2. It's cheaper than top f the range Android devices

There is no reason to buy an iPhone 11 Pro except to say: I have too much money, very little sense and I want everyone to know it.

5S eh! That's almost like me judging the current crop of Androids against my Sony Z3C (I exclusively used Android up to that point)......dat be a long time ago.

Modern phones are just so awesome (and close to each other in capability) that it seems pointless to compare them (maybe I'm just getting old....)

Yeah spot on. People should just buy what they like. They all fast enough, have great batteries, great displays and great build quality

It's down to ergonomics and aesthetics now ... You don't sit with a stopwatch to time how quick your phone is. They all fast enough

So for me being tall and hence having long fingers (ladies please note [emoji28]) I love the size of the note. Keyboard typing is easier for me ... I like the single punch out on the screen and video watching is amazing. Just don't think I could go back to a screen with a big notch ... it's like going 34" widescreen 21:9. Just can't go back now

Also much prefer the inscreen finger print sensor to faceid. No iPhone X user can say faceid has worked for them every time. Think nights in bed ... Faceid never works

The price of these apple phones are eye watering and the value prop is just not there (yes I regretted my purchase two years ago for two iphone X's at launch ... Nice phone but just too expensive). They pitched camera this year as being the best thing out there but things are so close between Samsung and Apple in this department with the mate 30 pro being the best. But they all good so who cares about the sign in the background when zoomed in 10x is slightly blurred more than the competition

And who takes pics in near complete darkness ... So what if that is missing on the apple 11 pro wide lens. People these days compare specs on paper and get fixated on that ... At the end it's about the user experience

As @Dragon mention, I also don't look at the back. When I do, it's to clean the sensor before snapping a pic.
Also don't think its ugly in any way. Even the Nokia 9 (I think) with the 5 sensors. Some call it ugly, weird and others have no issue with the looks, they use it for more than a fashion accessory/statement, they use it for the features.

Yeah, you should see how many people in bigger businesses have an iPhone (banks, insurance, etc) in SA and every child here in the UK has an iPhone.

Yes. I said child. My friend who is ¬20 has the Xs Max. The Xr is insanely popular here and most people are upgrading to the new 11.

the earning capacity in the UK is different tho that in SA - so yep they will laugh at things we find expensive - yet they don't all drive the fancy cars or live in luxurious apartments which are really cheaper here by the way - but for everyday things like phones etc they can outspend us by huge amounts

not to mention that the inexpnesive Chinese brands are really harder to find there ..... and most people there wont be bothered to research and self import like we have a tendency to do here
