What are you referring to in regards to Ryzen performance as I've not noticed any performance issues as of yet? can you reference some sources?DLSS balanced gives you like 10.5fps at 1440p over DLSS Quality.
The other 2 settings I tweaked are another 4-5 fps over Ultra.
Not dropped lower than 60fps which is impressive on Psycho RT but honestly the diff between Ultra and Psycho is probably not worth the FPS (think its about 5-7fps).
None at all on DLSS Balanced.
Anyone on AMD cpus, you guys will be experiencing worse performance as the game seems to not be using SMT correctly while Intel CPUs are getting great utilization with HT.
This is probably why 6 core CPUs like the 3600 and 5600X are suffering.
I see there are some exe mods to improve SMT usage but it seems hit and miss. Performance should improve once CDPR patches things officially.

Users and reviewers noticed that Cyberpunk 2077 has problems utilizing the full potential of the AMD Ryzen CPUs, in particular the SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading) technology.
The issue can easily be observed in Windows Task Manager, where the game is locked to the CPU’s physical cores, rather than logical. This problem is not present on the Intel processors, indicating that the code might have not been optimized for AMD CPUs.
Thanks for that...will go through it all, will also check on my system when I'm running the game. Hope its patched soon as it seems there's performance being left on the table and in this game we all need it lol.Snip
I switched off HDR.Anyone else noticed the HDR implementation is shit? I've gone back to SDR - still looks superb with only ray tracing thankfully.
Ye took a while, used the Overwatch sniper to land headshots, and a lot of grenades aswell used my sammy sword, eventually got himDid you actually kill the guy or just hit and run like I did ?
Tried to kill him once, killed me with one blow. So I changed tactics to hit and run
Are you really playing an RPG if you don't do so many side quests that you're beyond OP during the main story?17.5 hrs, 9% complete.
Absolutely amazing game.
Think I need to spend the rest of the day doing side quests.....

Got a slight improvement in fps ... So settings maxed out (psycho rt and psycho lighting) 55-65 fps, dlsss auto (which i found to be the balanced setting). There are some occasions where it drops to low 50s (like walking down those stairs into the city from your apartment). But if i aint looking at the fps counter its a pretty smooth experienceGreat game, even with the bugs. Got a few hours in today.
Is the 1.04 patch causing any issues?
also running all MAX etc. getting aaround the 37 to 42FPS margin. Im happy with that for now considering everything etc.Got a slight improvement in fps ... With 1.04 i did come across floating cellphones ... There are some dlss anomalies regardless of setting ... Other than that nothing really game breaking

I suppose you are 100% good sir.Are you really playing an RPG if you don't do so many side quests that you're beyond OP during the main story?
my cpu usage is 100%. i think even 9700k @ 5ghz is not enough for this game. i think im gonna play with RT off.
ok, so tell me what I can do with my system to improve my experience?,..8 threads are not enough for next gen. 6c12t is the minimum needed for the full Cyberpunk 2077 experience right now IMO.

Whatever you do when you are hunting for performance don't turn off the Film Grain setting. I did so shortly after starting and I've been wondering why my colours often look so off...the reason was the lack of Film Grain. So this is a game where you definitely leave the Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration on.
Btw if my CPU only runs around 50% does that mean I have some sort of CPU bug? Or that I am hardcore GPU limited?
That's weird. Film grain and Chromatic Aberration have always been off for me and it looks great.
Ffs so i need to upgrade my cpu??8 threads are not enough for next gen. 6c12t is the minimum needed for the full Cyberpunk 2077 experience right now IMO.
5950X here we come....Ffs so i need to upgrade my cpu??
Just saw this. Gonna test some of these. Some good tweaks here.

Interesting how CP is using Intel threads significantly more efficiently than Ryzen. 30% performance difference when driving is pretty large. Sauce: The DF vid

Look at all the SMT threads. Left is the game without modifications, very low usage on SMT threads (10-15% mostly.
Right is after an exe mod to use the SMT threads, but this exe mod seems to be hit or miss as it can hurt the performance on some AMD cpus.
For comparison, this is the utilisation on Intel :
This can also be seen in the performance figures here (720p, CPU limited test) where the 8 core and above Ryzen 5000 series are fine to brute force it with just the physical cores but the 6 core derivatives (5600X) and even the Ryzen 3000 series really arent being used to their full potential as can be seen with the 5600X and 3800XT being below a 10400F, and the 3600 being worse than a 6 thread 9600k. It's even worse for the 3300x and 2600 which are barely faster than a 4790K.
