Delidding

Process:

  • The integrated heatspreader (IHS) is carefully removed from the CPU.
  • Components under the IHS are coated with liquid electric tape, if applicable.
  • Stock thermal paste is replaced with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal.
  • IHS is sealed back into place, so the CPU can be treated just as if it were stock.

Compatible with:
(All mainstream LGA 1155*, LGA 1150 and LGA 1151 CPUs)

  • Intel Ivy Bridge*
  • Haswell
  • Devil's Canyon
  • Broadwell
  • Skylake
  • Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake processors
Temperatures improvements vary depending on the processor and your rig. Temperatures can decrease anywhere from 5C to 25C, this can improve overclockability headroom.

I help around at OMIT Computers. They delidded the Pentium G3258 which is in a PC I sold ( [Sale] - Budget Gaming Computer | Combo (multi-item) sales & full systems )
They also delidded my friend's i3 4120. He had a CM Seidon 120V cooler on and it hit 70C easily after a gaming session (He did reseat the cooler with new thermalpaste etc). He then delidded his CPU and put a small air cooler on. Temps never exceed 38C. He then used the AIO on his HD 7850 LE - the fan made a annoying clicking sound
*He did the build by himself

Just want to give Luane a massive shoutout for the great job done on my 4790K, tested it quickly this afternoon on 4.6ghz and it's not even breaking a sweat, gonna throw 4.8ghz at it this weekend and see how it does. Can really recommend him if you're looking to delid!

Sent a pm, no response. If someone can give me some more info on the price I would be grateful.
