COD MW Relentless crashing

Hello,

I have pretty much had it with this motherfucking whore shit of a game! I must have been the only person on the internet that had zero issues with hang ups, crashes or even full pc crashes. Until the last update.... I either crash in the menu or somewhere between 5 and 30 mins in game. Like a proper crash, no signal to screen and a hard reset required.

Whats funny is though that before this last update I even changed from Intel to AMD and it ran like a dream not a missed frame. yet immediately after this last update I am at the point where I am just going to go play something else.

Other new titles run perfect for hours and higher settings even.

Anyone else have this shit?
Anyone have any tips?

I have done:
Windows update to 10 1909
GPU driver updates
All MB driver updates
Closed all apps that could have overlay, Gforce Experience, Discord, other game launchers etc.
Closed all apps that could capture

I have, 3700x, 32gb 3200mhz, MSI MPG X570, nVME for windows and nVME for games, MSI GTX 1080ti

COD MW is the only game with issues. On 4k, on 1080p even on auto.
PAPGEE = 4k Ultra Fine
BF4 = 4k Ultra Fine
BL3 = 4k Ultra Fine
R6 = 4k Ultra Fine


Honestly do not know what to do about this.

Have you applied any overclock to either your GPU or CPU? I had to turn my overclocks off to get rid of the same issue you have. Fuck knows why but it did the same with the new Star Wars game.

Not About the Fps but The Changes He makes to His pc that might help you.

Mine resets my entire system when I am in game sometimes for 20-30 mins.

I thought it was something to do with my PC but it only happens in COD and only started as of late

Did you uninstall drivers with DDU? Might be worth a try.

Even on 4k I still rock a solid FPS and the game plays so much smoother now.

having dissected the scripts he posted I am actually iked at IW because my config effectively only allowed the game engine to use only 2 logical processors. I have 16.... Everything runs like a boss now.

Even killed a bunch of kids, thou I am probably playing against lower skilled people after all that terrible game play.

I’ve had so much kak with this game. First time installing it my game crashed on launch for 5-7 times before actually launching successfully each time I want to play. Did a fresh install of windows and my game finally worked for a few days. Last night started getting dev errors, the game signs me out of discord and even changes my screen resolution at random times. Scanned files with battle.net even did antivirus scans and there were “no problems”. You read of all kinds of problems. At one point only my campaign didn’t want to render, it looked like the characters were made of play dough. Such a shame to pay R1000 for a game just to have so many issues.

Hi,

My brother has the same issue, he simply set the textures (only the textures) to normal and it hasn't happened again since. He is using a Ryzen 7 2700x and a Vega 56 for his GPU (He gets about 150 fps all settings maxed out but for some reason dropping texture quality fixed this problem for him, he found this solution on another forum). Hope it helps someone if the above video doesn't.

I also had endless issues with even getting it to run. What finally worked for me was to Set it to Fullscreen borderless and disable the spot shadow and sun shadow caching. This is by far the worst game I ever had to deal with.

I used Nvidia experience to set my video quality and stopped random crashes but now i go to select an operator i get dev error crash.

I too get random crashes as well as graphics glitches whilst in game lol.

The graphics glitches seem like rainbows or flickers of bright lights in water droplets but only on certain maps, textures also don't appear smooth on a few of the maps but this ONLY HAPPENS IN MW lol.

The crashes are usually ones stating Dev Error with different codes, they don't happen so much now but initially to get around this I had to declock my 4000mhz ram to 3900mhz because it's like a game bug that required this declock to get around then had no more crashes but again ONLY IN MW.

They have done something strange with the console aim assist in the last update, maybe to make it easier for them but now I don't lag but I'm getting shot a few times as if I was playing with lag where bullets seem to follow you around a corner LOL but only happens on a few shots plus only happens from consolers not pc players.

Yeah the netcode is rubbish in this game, I get killed a lot from far behind cover.
Gives me bf3 flashbacks.

Last night I experienced a glitch which made most cover invisible [emoji23], I mean shipping containers/other objects were not rendered, I'm shooting at people not knowing there's a big object in front of me.

Forgot to update here,

Since the last update it has been waaaay better, have not had a crash yet. Running lekker at 1440 and fixed 144fps, I really think that the nVidia experience overlay thing had a lot to do with it, even though disabling it. Once uninstalled and installed a new version it seemed like the disabling actually worked. Could just be me going crazy though. Anyways, lekker @92 in Season 2 already!
