Change search to TDM if you still have it on deathmatch moshpit. Deathmatch moshpit was on for me still by default but the playlist is gone. Changed to TDM and instantly found a game

Game not worth the cash then. It should put us in EU servers for Blackout if not enough local guys cause its gonna be dead within a month lol

Unless you're in it only to play TDM, or you know someone in the EU that can get you into EU blackout lobbies, I'd advise against buying it right now. If you want to play Blackout, definitely give it a pass. If the servers are by some miracle up in the evenings, there are low player numbers, meaning you'll be waiting in a lobby for 15-20 minutes inbetween games for it to fill up. If you get an unlucky drop, congratulations, you're going to be playing a single game per hour, if you're lucky.

They've mentioned they're "looking at" solutions for low player counts in countries outside of the US/EU, but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe keep an eye on this thread and wait.

I've had the complete opposite experience. Running into new players ever day now. In fact yesterday I had a few lobbies with players I've never seen.
As far as blackout goes, I reckon it'll be fine tonight. I think last night it was just because people were downloading the patch.

I found games so quickly in the first few weeks.. now everyone is just playing deathmatch TBH.. at night it is better but they need to create a random game search so you don't have to go through all the game modes to find a game.

What is your location under your battle net profile on the Web.
Mine says South Africa and it automatically puts me in the sa lobbies.
As far as I'm aware you wouldn't be able to register an EU game in ZA as there are multiple regions and you have to meet 2 criteria, 1 your physical location and 2 where your account is registered. If those match up you are placed in that region.

That's what the one official reseller said on their site and what brizzard said when I logged a ticket.

As for your current location, that determines in which lobbies you are placed.

I wouldn't be using it under my current SA account. When you register a new B.Net account, it just asks for country. So I'd be using a different email and specifying United Kingdom, for example. Then logging into that account and redeeming a new copy of BO4 to it. If need be I could also VPN to the UK when playing, but seeing as it seems to do region via your country of residence and not IP geolocation, that may not be necessary.

I'm just curious if anyone's tried this and it works.

Why would you want to register it in the UK?
Just wondering as I don't see any advantage to that.

I would still think to activate you would need a vpn but not to play, unless you want to play on EU servers.

That is entirely the point. I bought the game for Blackout, but the local servers are either down or severely underpopulated, meaning 90% of your time is spent waiting for a game.

Blackout on EU is instant. 160ms takes a little getting used to, but is still playable. You cannot get onto EU servers using a VPN, so I'm wondering if this method works.

There was a ~57 person lobby that launched around 9:30pm after a 20 minute wait. Not sure before / after.

Lets decide one someones auto created squad and just join it, currently I cannot create a squad as seems there is another bug.

Same problem here. Apparently matchmaking awoke from its slumber on PS4 for a while, but then everything came crashing down (on all platforms) after a few hours.

Bought the game for Blackout, assuming a game like COD would be fine and have local servers as always. I haven't been able to find a single Blackout game since I got the game. Bought through Humble as well so I can't even refund it.

IF the local server is up, Blackout usually livens up a little locally after 6pm-7pm. But note that, for whatever reason, ONLY the Quads mode. If you select Quads and the option to auto fill your team, you'll get put in a squad with 3 other guys (assuming you find a lobby) and play with them. Duos and Solo are completely dead locally for reasons unknown, at least on PC.

However, even in Quads, you'll be waiting 15-30 mins per lobby to get into the game, and only sometimes will it fill up to 88 players. We just have far too small a playerbase for it to be consistent, or available during the day.
