Hi guys,

ok so I have my CM 690 but there's 2 mods that I want to do and would like some info if possible.

1. The CPU hole in the case sucks. When I want to replace my cooler I have to pull out the entire board so that huge hole they provided is kinda useless. What is the best way to actually cut this hole a bit bigger but make it smooth and nice again?

2. I have the side window but it's a bit small and that stupid fan thing is there. Where can I take it to or how do I actually cut the side panel bigger and add a bigger window to it?

both these cuts can be done with jigsaw or a dremel, whichever is at your disposal.

making the CPU hole smooth and nice would require something like a fine tooth file or some sanding paper.

the same procedure would work for the side panel.

adding the window just depends mainly on how you want it mounted, screwless or not.

know of a place called Fabricut that does laser cutting which would make the cut neat if you can't/don't want to do it yourself, but they situated more in the PTA area.

Yea don't have any tools for this :) No place in JHB perhaps? and what will the cost be? (or is it cheaper to buy a dremel?)

Think the CPU hole wouldn't be that hard to do. The side panel, not sure :) The cut has to be perfect and then how do I replace it with. I don't really mind screw or screw-less but it has to be neat. Don't want 1000 screws to keep it in tact lol
