We are looking for a C# and JavaScript developer that will be stationed on-site at a client in Sandton, Johannesburg. You will be responsible for building and maintaining in-house and client specific C# and JavaScript applications and adding features and maintaining the solution for the on-site client where you will be stationed at. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop web-based applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
Responsibilities
• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# and JavaScript code
• Design and build mobile applications that can be adapted and used in the Cordova framework
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Skills
• Proficient in C#, with strong knowledge of its ecosystems
• Proficient in JavaScript
• Familiarity with the .NET framework
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
• Knack for writing clean, readable C# code
• Skilled with writing reusable C# libraries
• Strong understanding of the MVC 5 framework
• Familiarity with ASP.NET Identity 2
• Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns
• Strong understanding of SQL development and database design
• Strong understanding of the Cordova framework
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2015 and 2017
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
Education
• Matric Certificate beneficial, but not required
• BSc Degree or other tertiary qualification beneficial, but not required
• Minimum of 3 years’ C# development experience required
• Minimum of 3 years’ JavaScript development experience required
Other Requirements
• Valid driver’s license
Remuneration
• R30 000.00 P/M Cost to Company
