Hi all,

Not sure of this is the correct Thread to post this, but here is my question:

Some of us are legit people that just don't have much time to post things and or are new to Carbonite,
how can a new member build trust amongst the community?
Trust is a hard earned currency, especially these days.
We all had our experience with scammers and fraudsters.
Is there a way to "verify" a user is he is legit or just a walk-by ?
Hope to get some answers, thank you.

There is no quick way to build trust and truth be told, we prefer it that way.

As a new member you will find that buying will be easy but selling will be a bit more challenging. Buying items from high ranked members will help you in building up your trust level as well as doing face to face deals with high members. Please ask for assistance if in doubt regarding a member's credentials and/or rating.

As said, there is no quick way. And we like it this way since the guys that have been here for a while have then earned that trust and reputation.

Just to add.

There's no such thing as being verified either. Anywhere in life. God knows a person can be scammed or backstabbed by their own flesh and blood.

I've also seen some long standing members here that have pulled a fast one and just shrugged it off as nothing, even defending their poor actions.

Being a part of the discussions and community helps you to see for yourself who you can trust with a sale or purchase. As the wise man said: people show you exactly who they are, so don't imagine in your head who you wish they were.
