As title states the screen fell over due to cats and the screen is broken.

*also side note. Kingprice does not cover computer monitors under their home contents... (canceling that shit asap)

I actually queried the same thing with outsurance, they only cover the TV sets for accidental and the monitors are only covered for theft.

It's honestly bullshit, computer monitors are more expensive than tv's these days.

Guys I'm sorry I'm putting this on hold I just lodged a complaint with the ombudsman let me just see how that turns out then I'll unlock the thread again.

All good this uses and external psu so won't work for my idea.

Thank you.

Odd. I had my Asus ROG PG279Q monitor covered for the weekend of Rage. Something weird happened and after Rage it refused to store any of the config settings. They collected and paid me out.

Yeah unfortunately for me they don't want to cover it, and even if I were to fight it they do also state they don't cover domestic animals damaging property so in the end I would lose. I'd rather just take this as a lesson and switch home content insurance

strange, I moved recently and mentioned the monitors etc. they made it very clear to me that monitors would only be covered for theft and power surges. broken screens only for television sets. I even considered moving from them as we've got 6 monitors in the house along with a dog and cat who can easily cause an accident.

Perhaps mine was stated under out and about - since I did take it to Rage.

I actually enquired about that as well, they said I can't have it under out and about because it's a stationary item which gets used at home.

maybe I should call and try speaking to someone else about it. might just strike it lucky and get on call confirmation that it's covered.
