Really liked the character designs for the old Gotei 13

The Byakuya scene was quite un-Byakuya-like

Still can't stop Aizen from screwing with people

The direction in this ep felt on point and stood out

Ichigo looks pretty strong, I recently started wondering on what level his strength is now. Is it roughly the same as when he fought Aizen (without the black hair of course) or is it even stronger thanks to the fullbring power? Does seem like his mask powers are incorporated into his form now so no need for that silly trick anymore.

Obviously once he properly awakens to his quincy powers we will really start seeing a baddass boy. To think he would probably dwarf old man Yama is exciting in itself.

But as Yhwach said, the old man never really restored himself to his former glory. Sound like he was a proper power house back in the day!

Only a short moment of Kukaku, would've liked more screen time for her

Squad zero dropping in, but Senjumaru is the only one that I find interesting

Had the same reaction as Ichigo and Renji to Kirio's upgraded form

Good build-up for Unohana vs Kenpachi

Kenpachi is essentially a saiyan

Quite the contrast going from the Unohana vs Kenpachi fight into Nimaiya's paradise

Looks like the finale of the 1st cour will be a 1hr special on 26 Dec

Would be interesting to have seen more of squad 10 in Isshin's days, with the dynamics between him and Rangiku

Getting Ichigo's mother and father to meet and screwing Ryu's marriage must've also been part of Aizen's plan

Scenes in the rain looked good, though maybe not at the same level as that fight they did in Akudama Drive

Spoiler: 1st Cour Finale

Captain kinda just abandoned his squad and gave up pretty much everything, Masaki was worth it I guess

Shouldn't it rather have been "the blades are me" with the dual wielding

Had to have number 1 in the background to end the cour off

That's it for the 1st cour. One of my favorites for the year, though edged out for the overall top spot Will get to that roundup soon

Production quality seems to have taken dip from P1 so far, but I guess the bigger fights are still to come

2nd cour came to a bit of an abrupt end. Overall couldn't keep us with the level from 1st cour, but that was a ridiculously high bar. Rukia's bankai remained the highlight

3rd cour to broadcast in 2024

BDs probably a while longer, but Disney trying to censor stuff just adds to more reasons to make it worth the wait
