Hey guys,

Need to courier my wifes pc to Nelspruit, looking for a reliable courier with a decent insurance policy also.
please help me out with some suggestions...

Thanks Boost

As far as I know , if it's second hand goods pretty much no courier will cover it. Sure you can pay them the insurance fee but when it comes time to claim they will tell you insurance is only for brand new sealed goods with a commercial invoice

Just package it correctly, I sent a mates R25000 PC from Durban to JHB using TCG econo. It arrived perfectly because the box was correctly marked with fragile glass stickers etc...

Thanks, I will contact them for a quote, they seem to have a really good reputation.

Also, check with your household insurance, they generally cover transportation. When I sold my Watercooled PC some time back top a carb member, I insured the transportation. I checked with my insurer and they were happy to cover it. At an additional fee off-course. Cost me like R500, the buyer paid for it.

If that's the case then that's awesome. Anyone else tried this?

Also don't ship things like the GPU or large air heavy aircooler inside the case installed, rather package it back into its original box and place everything inside a nice box with padding.

Remove things like gpus and put them in their own boxes and. remove things that can fall off like huge air coolers. drain the liquid of course if the build is liquid cooled and pack everything nicely in a box. If you secure everything nicely, it will be fine. You only need to worry about the pc components being stolen when using couriers instead of them being damaged if you properly pack them hahaha.
