Description of Bad Deal:
Hi . So the bad deal is related to the warranty . The add stated the item is brand new in the box and under warranty. This was part of the decision making to buy the unit.
I made contact paid and got the unit.
Using the keyboard for just over a month the space bar started acting up. The space bar on the one side does not want to move smoothly up and down. It seems the problem might be on the one standoff. I did not take the key off to inspect as it is under warranty . I decided to contact the the seller to find out about the warranty. Sent him a message on 2 April . He responded once asking me Wat is wrong. He did not supply the warranty details . After following up he responded on Friday the 5th. He told me that he could not get hold of the person who he bought it from. I gave him a couple of extra days for this.
On Monday I asked him Wat I must do . He then asked me if my son did not hit the keyboard. I told him my son is 17 years old and his old Redragon keyboard from 2 years back is still working. He is using it now again since the Steel Series is faulty. This is anyway irelavant . All i want to do is send it in for warranty. The seller asked me for more time. I gave him 8 days so far just to get me the warranty info.
- In the meanwhile I have tried to locate the warranty supplier myself. I have contacted Wootware , Evetech,. I also contact distributors like Frontosa and Rectron.
I emailed Steel Series directly and they could not assist. I shared this all with the seller .
Today i contacted the seller . He said I must wait. I mean how much time must I give him to get me the warranty info? I then notified him that I will have to open a bad deal.
He was not happy and told me I got the keyboard at half price (this is irelavent to this issue). He also told me that it is sad that my Son is giving me orders. ( Seriosly wtf!. Because my son is asking about his keyboard for the past 8 days this seller is now telling me my son is giving me orders. ) This is totally irelavent.
Bottom line is . I bought the keyboard due to it being new and under warranty. The key then became faulty. I want to send it in for warranty . ( simple procedure) . Seller now cant give me the warranty info and started insulting me on a personal level. If he did not have warranty why advertise it with warranty.
