Seller:
@Daniel de Villiers
Buyer: @BenSkillz
Description of Bad Deal:

I contacted @Daniel de Villiers on them morning of Friday 11/11/2022 regarding the iPhone 14 that he was selling. He informed me that, yes the phone was still for sale and it was open to all networks. He also assured me that the phone would not be blacklisted after I purchase it as the contract for the phone was paid up and that he would provide me with the documentation to show that the contract had been lawfully terminated early and the account settled. He provided me with his cellphone number and I contacted him on WhatsApp. He sent me pictures of the new iPhone 14 still in its sealed packaging. He mentioned that @MR FREEZE had originally intended to purchase this phone but had actually wanted it in a different color.

I then got his banking details and payed him R12,000.00 for the phone and an additional R100.00 for the courier. This was on the morning of Friday 11/11/2022. He informed me that he had received the funds in his FNB account and that he would send me the waybill number for the courier "once sent off after work". That afternoon at 16:46 I requested the tracking number from him. He responded that he was sorry and had been away and thus couldn't respond to my message earlier. This was at 18:33. The he goes on to tell me that I can check his reviews on Carb and that I don't have to worry about being scammed by him and that "made a guy drive 200km to drop off a phone for @MR FREEZE" . Fare enough but he circumvents giving me the tracking number, so I assume that he didn't have a chance to give it to the courier in time.

Saturday 12/11/2022 he messages me that he has packaged the iPhone and that it should get to me by Tuesday 15/11/2022 and that he will send me the waybill once he has sent it. Monday 14/11/2022 rolls around and I message him in the afternoon asking for the tracking number. He informs me that yes the package was sent that morning by his receptionist. However he was out of the office on Monday and would send me the tracking number when back in the office, I imagine on Tuesday, and that it should be by my local courier depot by Tuesday and out for delivery on Wednesday 16/11/2022. On Tuesday afternoon I again message him in the afternoon about the tracking number and I receive no response until this morning 16/11/2022.

To this date I have not received any tracking number, or any proof that the phone has been sent to me. Every time that I ask him for the tracking number or when I can expect the phone to be in my hands, he gives me some story about how busy he is or how de doesn't understand what the problem is.

I contacted @vicenzo and @MR FREEZE about Daniel since they have dealt with him in past. @vicenzo mentioned that he had purchased the same iPhone 14 that I paid @Daniel de Villiers for. He also mentioned that he had been going through the same rubbish as I have been.
@MR FREEZE mentioned that @Daniel de Villiers had used a guy driving a white Proton hatchback to deliver his phone but that it had taken while for him to receive his phone from @Daniel de Villiers .

@Reyhan Spamers has a bad deal open against @Daniel de Villiers as well and he has been going through the same rubbish as @vicenzo and I have been dealing with.

I don't know what this guy is playing at but this rubbish can't go on.

Best bet is to ask for a refund at this point. If he doesn't refund you, report his bank account with his bank (I saw someone do the same on Carb recently). The bank should freeze his account and pay you back.
