Anyone bought from Gearbest?

Just ordered my redmi note 5 pro and a few cases and screen protectors for it.

Phone accessories came through to me with no customs charge after 10 days (was surprised at this) - Priority shipping with aramex

The actual phone was another story, they had trouble with my address and were asking me to assist them with this before they could ship it. While all this was happening they sold all their stock of the phone I ordered and already paid upfront for...
I was pretty pissed at them pulling something like that and told them they should have reserved it for me as I already paid for my phone. A little back and forth with their customer support and chinglish and waiting for new stock they eventually shipped it out...
It's currently sitting with aramex at their jo'burg depot awaiting customs which takes about 2~3 days to clear.
Aramex pays the customs clearance and you reimburse them the amount and it gets to you in 1~2 days depending on where you live (I'm from CPT)

Was kinda surprised at the helpful customer service gearbest provides, although it was in chinglish they didn't ignore me and even gave me some gb points which can be exchanged for money in their store. I was however pissed that they didn't reserve an item for me as I already paid for it but all is well that ends well..

Customs clearance is usually, R300~R400 for a samrtphone. Zero charge for phone accessories though, gets shipped straight to your door by aramex when it has cleared customs.

So only Reseller's get good responses on here? Strange or coincidence ...

Wanted to buy some stuff Gearbest but will rather go with Banggood based on this thread.

You will be sorely disappointed. Banggood are just as deplorable with many of the same issues. DX were only marginally better.

My adapter arrived yesterday as described,I have no idea if it works though as I'm still waiting for my NVMe drive but thats another issue.19 days isn't record breaking but I did receive my package so I will give Gearbest a 7 out of 10.Finally,an alternative to Amazon(Still the service king though).
Will definitely order more stuff from them.
