I noticed Gearbest have some VERY nice deals going right now so I'm wondering what ordering through them entails.

Has anyone bought a CPU or a 3D Printer, or anything for that matter, from them and if so did you get everything without problems?

Did you receive your items on time and and undamaged, how was the customs procedure through them?

Did you have your package delayed by customs?

Thanks.

Me. Still waiting on package. It should arrive within 5-6 months as I chose free shipping. No tracking number provided either for free shipping. Also, they subscribe you to their spam e-mails and it is IMPOSSIBLE to unsubscribe. You can try, and then tomorrow the "specials" e-mails just keep coming.

Also the @GearBest Rep is of zero help. He doesn't answer PMs.

I'm sorry for that. Please tell me your order number and I will check the tracking information.
We hope everyone could get a good purchase experience from Gearbest.

:ROFLMAO:There you go then.Damn shame about your package though. So its the same as ordering through ebay then, post office always cancer though.

I have ordered from them twice. If you are not willing to pay for courier (priority line shipping is Aramex) then don't order anything from any online store... SAPO "loses" packages. Last time I odered from a site that provided free shipping, SAPO "lost" 5 of the 7 packages...

They consolidate small items into one package, and packed my stuff very well. Only complaint is that Aramex is a bit lax in contacting you for the customs fees, so you have to keep checking their tracking to see when your package is ready for payment of duties.

PS: Google the address of the Aramex depot that does your local deliveries (or call them and ask), and use the depot's postal code, things go much faster that way.

I ordered a Mi Band 3 from GearBest and chose Aramex as my shipping method - it took over a week for them to ship the item and when I asked why it was taking so long, I got responses that ranged from "It's out of stock and will be restocked in 2 weeks" to "the item is packed and will be handed to the couriers soon".

Also... their rep took more than a week to get back to me on Carb so I definitely won't be using them again any time soon.

I dealt with Aramex when I bought off Amazon, customs held my package until I emailed and opened support ticket and sent through the invoice to Aramex. I received my order 2 days later so I know Aramex just need to be prodded to get results.
 Interested to see if you get your order sorted out @ambroseg1

Waiting for a Mi A2 Lite sale :D

I have been happy with my purchases from Gearbest, ordering this week again some electrical things. I always use Proirity and gets here in a week. Customs was no issue easy to deal with

Secondly, I back @GearBest Rep as he has been assisting me when I needed it, I'm sure he just accidentally missed your PM! Sh1t happens.

My one and only attempt to buy was a disaster. Paid. Waited 2 weeks, then they claim my postal code is wrong... except we been living here for 40 years.
Wanted to send regular post I said no. Then I got ignored for 2 weeks.
I then asked the rep on MYBB for help a week later he told me to do a Paypal dispute(nice hey).
I did this after which they said they could not do anything in regards my order unless I cancel the dispute.(old trick if you cancel dispute you cant open another) so I just escalated it.
Got my money back 3 days later.
Will never buy from them ever.

Same happened with me - Aramex over there somehow does not know the local codes in South Africa. So I just changed the code to the Aramex Depot's code, then all went smoothly.

They really should get this postal code sh!t sorted :(

Never ever ever again. Slow can't describe their service. After 2 weeks waiting for expedited shipping (was still in their warehouse after 2 weeks) and then i cancelled.

Definite trend here,so far they more miss than hit.I will hold off buying from them until they sort things out on their end.Was looking forward to my Ryzen 1700x and Ender 3 but not worth the risk, gutted .

Last time I ordered through SAPO I got my package in 6 months, but it arrived at my local post office and it was R28 duties. So the pendulum (slowly) swings.

Freight forwarding is the best option, IMO.

My 2c (ZAR)

Cheers :)

I've had good experiences with them. The delivery could be faster but after they finally pack the order together it usually doesn't take all that long (priority shipping). Tracking is also an added bonus compared to normal sapo. Customs can be a bit of a headache at times but that seems to be out of aramex's/GearBest's hands. I order 6 - 8 times a year.. Sometimes for a few 100's and recently for a few 1000's... Issues that I have had have all been resolved one way or another

Couldn't be arsed to respond to my PM, now that you are called out publicly you want to help? No thanks.

@GearBest Rep was very helpful when I PM'ed him .

Waiting on my 1st order, I did select some shipping above free, and although the shipping number says "arrived in destination country" and has done so for a few weeks, apparently its still being shipped? 1st world problems?

So only Reseller's get good responses on here? Strange or coincidence ...

Wanted to buy some stuff Gearbest but will rather go with Banggood based on this thread.

Ok,so I thought I'd just test Gearbest's service for myself and ordered a cheap M.2 PCIe adapter with Priority Line shipping and will post here when/if it arrives. We'll see how that turns out.

I have bought three times with no issues other than Aramex forgetting to send me the SARS clearance payment invoice which meant my package got held up for 5 extra days. But other than that it was always a 2-3 week shipping experience and no issues with the goods I received. I even bought stuff on the last Black Friday when i got tired of Takealots broken website to start working again.

I bought an item from them. It took many months to arrive. But that was our lovely Customs dept.'s fault.

Just received a parcel from China (NOT GearBest) that was shipped 2nd of April... Seems 114 Days is normal where SARS and SAPO are involved :D

Tracking shows it reached SA on 10 April...

Seems they shipped my M.2 adapter this morning. Took a week to ship but its not bad yet that I wouldn't use them again. I'm used to ordering stuff from bidorbuy and it takes 3 months so still worth it if this takes another week to arrive. So far so good.

Strangely my parcel shipped on 20 April from China also indicated this morning it is at the city I live in's hub. Could probably collect in a week or two. That said, I did have to e-mail the post office's ENTIRE executive to find out why it has been stuck at customs since June.

The bolded bit. We (entire population) really need to actively stop using these people and put them out of business.

How do you put the government out of business?
