Hi Guys and Gals.
Please advise me on a all in one antivirus. I have seen posts on the "best" antivirus but there is no conclusion. Some guys just post what to use without the why?

Currently i am using AVG Internet security that i have a 1 year licence that i got for free. However, AVG is not a all inclusive antivirus. every little thing is an add-on @R199 per year. Eventually i will end up around R1k just to have the thins i need/want. What all in one Antivirus is available. I want something that i pay once. Free would be a bonus.

Kaspersky Internet Security. Protects you online and offline.

R399 at Computer Mania for 2-devices/1yr

Yes, theirs was a bug.

OP was asking for advice - I gave advice. If he is willing to participate in data sharing that is up to him. I for one am not. So if you have evidence to the contrary (about Kaspersky), please share as this will definitely influence his decision.

Windows defender has become damn good..

Yip, very deep.

In case anyone is having difficulty finding it:
Login to your interest banking
Go to Accounts
Click on your primary account's name
Click on change limit alert
Click cancel (bottom right corner)
You will be taken to a new page and if you look on the right, you'll see Trend Micro License Key

I don't know if this works for all accounts...

Windows 10 built in ftw + common sense!

This. Don't underestimate the common sense component.

Thank you for the feedback guys.

So if i read correctly basically dump AVG and go with Windows Defender?

Yep. The occasional Malwarebytes scan is a good idea too. It's not an antivirus, but it'll catch other stuff that most antiviruses (including Defender) might miss. It's rare though, and if you're applying common sense then chances are you're fine with Defender alone.

If you want to go free, yes. If you want to pay go either Eset Internet Security, or Kaspersky (I have been using Eset for a decade now. It is excellent, and has an exceptionally light computer footprint.)

Stay away from dodgey sites :)

AVG free is perfect. Never had a virus in over 10 years

Yeah, not one that you knew about. Both Eset and Windows Defender picked up stuff on my pc AVG did not after I changed.

Eset for a domain environment and Windows defender for home with periodic passive malware scanners like search & destroy/malwarebytes etc.
