Hi Guys,

So I just bought a MSI GTX1080 Armor for mining together with a few friends. I can buy a R1000 crappy pc that I can use in the meantime to plug the GPU in that will run it OR I can use my current gaming PC.
My question is as follow. Will I be able to put the GPU in my gaming PC and Mine on it while using my other GPU for gaming? Or will I just screw everything up? PS I have a GTX1060 for gaming. (Mining with it on/off depending if I am gaming or not.)

Secondly, What do you guys recommend as a wallet where all the coins can get paid to before it is split among my friends. We would like to share the wallet's access to make sure everyone can monitor the state of it (Some are untrusting). I would prefer that I stay in charge of payouts but unfortunately they all want access. Should I put my foot down or have you guys have good experiences with a shared wallet. Given it is not large payouts yet.

Thanks in advance

Can't find stock of 1070 worth the price. We all slapped money together for the 1080... So kind of have to mine with it.

I dont know if I'm ready this like my ass, or is OP suggesting that he runs the 1080 and 1060 in the same rig and split it so that the 1080 mines and 1060 games? In the same rig?

You can mine and game at same time, shouldn't mess anything up. Try it first before spending more money.

I would suggest stay in control of the wallet. Get a wallet in luno, use nicehash. That way you can pay out in Rand easily. Transfer costs are a bitch. Anyone can access the nicehash URL and see mining stats, but only you do payouts. Record everything in shared Google sheet.

yes you should be able to do it i have 2 friends who mine during the day with 2 1070's and at night they game on one while the other one mines.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I am using Nicehash and Altcoin trader at the moment and saw that you can select GPU and/or CPU to mine. So if that is the case I'll test it tonight and post some results.

Can I share wallet and transaction history on Altcoin trader aswell? without giving them access to do payouts?

Ye im planning on doing the same as well. I had a problem where I needed a better psu to handle 2 gpus at the same time.

So I have the GPU installed but Windows 10 disables the GPU. Any advice on what the problem can be?

Device manager gives the following message: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
I see a lot of people says windows 10 broke Different GPU support.
