Hi All

I have 2 x 200ah batteries that has lost 50% of their capacity and replaced them with lithium.

What do I do with the batteries now?

Before I got lithium my 2x 100Ah AGM batteries once deep discharged and I lost like 80% of their capacity. Because they were useless to me I took them to the scrap dealer and maybe got R100-R200 per battery, I can't recall but I kept thinking it was a huge waste. The guys who worked there all looked like they were eyeing a pot of gold when I took it in, so I thought in hindsight I should have put it on Facebook marketplace for a few hundred bucks more and I'm sure someone would have picked them up.

Cool thanks for the feedback.

Not sure if anyone here wants them? They just f@#king heavy...

There are battery recycling places than usually give decent rates per kg of battery.
When I upgraded from my 8x 200ah AGMs, I'm pretty sure I got about R10/kg.
Worked out to about R5k back.

You just gotta phone around for the best price.

Cool stuff! Thanks for the feedback and information.

I will check around
