PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

My 2019 literally started with a PUBG match. Me and a couple friends had a LAN and a braai for New Years...got so focused on the game, we forgot about the countdown to midnight.

I have been playing PUBG for a while, got almost 300 hours, but I only recently started to rack up kills and Chicken Dinners. I would love try my luck at a Comp one of these days.
 
Not if it intelligently populates servers. Put as Many SA players in as possible, fill the rest with other African countries / Brazil players.

I even know a guy who moved to USA who still gets 140 ping on many games, so, servers aren't super picky about ping as far as I can see.

1 on 1, 140 ms ping vs sub 20ms ping. Massive difference

It can be quite annoying when you take shots at someone... then duck behind a wall and DIE out of line of site of the enemy because from their perspective they shot you when you were out in the open but from your perspective you are hiding away from them.

I do however find that I no longer have to "double loot" stuff... I.e. try and pick it up multiple times before I actually get it picked up... so I think they have made some improvements there.
 
Sup Guys. All the PUBGZA PC players out there looking for some competitive pubg. Mettlestate is running a comp with R10k up for grabs EVERY MONTH. SIGN UPS CLOSE TOMORROW.... There are about 10 teams slots still available for the OPEN SERIES...... Mettlestate PUBG Series
 
@Flex I know about the LAG, but I was talking the other way around - With SA servers, us, having sub 20 ping, but PUBG still filling the servers with players from other countries, so we would still have full servers. That's the hope, anyway.

I try not to complain about high ping anymore, it hasn't stopped me from playing or enjoying the game, so why complain :D
 
Haha this kill by one of my teammates in the Aiming Anonymous Cup last night was insane, here is the clip from his perspective and a clip from the caster who had no clue what happened


 
Okay so I'm a bit de P##s in not to say the least.... I know when playing with total strangers this would happen.

It has happened twice in 5 games where my Teammates will kill me to get my guns and loot.

Does the report in game actually work?

I know you will say don't play with strangers well I have no one to play with.[emoji23]

Anyways..... happy Chicken Dinner Hunt

Missed the first 2 rounds of mettlestate tonight. Should be a better turnout next week.

Yes the report function works, I have had feedback from Blue-hole 3 times now where they have issued permanent bans because I have helped report someone

Same thing has been happening to me >.<
 
Btw, read that Microsoft Azure servers were supposed to be in operation January 2019, but it's been delayed, possibly by months.

But they are coming. Step in the complete correct direction to getting PUBG servers in SA.
 
Just some fun stuff while jamming the other night.

Came across another team, one of my teammates was like "wish I could throw a nade..." I had a nade... I threw the nade... the nade went boom.

Couldn't find any scopes... managed to drop a guy at a semi decent distance... lucky he was standing dead still... lol

Last game our 4th had his PC crash so we had to 3 man it.

The games last night were extremely close and fun!

The first game for us was a lol, Unknownz crashed at start so we had to 3 man, we dropped and started looting, got into cars to drive to zone and Shepards power tripped, so i just drove him around in the car. Drove, stopped got out, killed some people, drove him some more, fought some more then drove him to the middle of the zone and left him there. He eventually joined back in when there were like 15 peeps left and we went on to win haha

Hehehehe that sounds like chaos.

We had a similar situation game 3.
One of our guys could not load in when plane took off. So he only got back in once he had already landed as an afk at Mylta Power. So one of our guys had to take a boat from Military and go pick him up. So by the 2nd circle they still had no loot

I see Blu3 is asking the guys from AA and Mettlestate to start using the faceit loot settings which are awesome, go give it some love and maybe we can get them to change to that

Some epic moments, there! Reasons why I still love this game. No other game can be as unforgiving when things go wrong, and as rewarding when they go right.

Local servers will kill the scene; I've spoken to the relevant community managers and our numbers are just not there. You'll be in a 30man after a 20min wait of throwing apples around, waiting for someone to finish their braai. Local custom lobbies for planned events is a different story.
