Yeah, it is ancient.It’s just about future proofing. He will manage with a 7700k on that board for sure but three to four years down the line it’s going to be upgrade time again.

I don't care about maxing out games though. I just care about being able to play a game, to experience it with decent quality and smooth playable gameplay. Plus I play mostly League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege and A bit of Fortnite recently. So not needing the latest and greatest processor.
