Hi Carbies
My brother recently upgraded his home office equipment. There are 3 laptops with some faults that are up for sale.
Laptop 1) Lenovo V130-15IKB - 6th Gen i3 8GB Ram and 1TB HDD
Issue: A few keys around the centre of the keypad do not work (enter, backspace and a few others). I just used a plug in keyboard and reset it without any hassles. It works perfectly and I can't pick up any other fault. Oh it does feel a bit tight around the right side hinge. I've seen similar Lenovos completey break at the hinge so maybe it needs some loosening or oil or something to avoid it becoming a problem in future.
Laptop 2) ASUS F541U - 7th Gen i7 not sure whether it has 4 or 8GB RAM - SSD was removed (Data was needed)
issue: No idea to be honest, the info I was given is that the board is dead. Switched off during loadshedding and never came back on.
Laptop 3) ASUS F554L - 5th Gen i3 8GB RAM 500GB HDD
Issue: Faulty LCD. This machine was used via an external monitor. The LCD had lines going across the screen before eventually going white and staying that way. Besides the LCD everything seems to function as per normal. This SSD also needs to be removed and will be replaced with a normal 500 HDD
Confession: I tried using Laptop 2s LCD in Laptop 3 only to find out that the one has a wider pin then the other. I think one is 30 and the other 40 😅
I think this will be a great buy for someone who is technical enough to repair the lappies themselves. Maybe even someone who already has spares (Keypad, LCD or mobo)
Item: x4 Laptops
Age: Not sure
Price: R1800 for all
Payment Method Accepted: Instant EFT or Cash
Warranty: Na
Warranty Holder: NA
