I've got X2 dead laptops that belonged to some distant family so I have no idea how they were handled during their life but taking a quick look at them, they do seem repairable. I'm told the drives were wiped before the laptops stopped working so I'm not going to bother checking them.

As far as I know this laptop was working perfectly up until recently. When i got it, it turned on but got stuck at the Asus logo splash screen then booted into recovery mode, after that it shut itself down and now won't turn back on. I haven't opened this one up so no idea on the condition of the internals.

The exterior is pretty beat up with some cracks on the screen, scratches on the chassis and a few missing keys on the keyboard. The internal ribbon cable for the power button looks broken which is probably why it won't turn on.
