Good day I'm in the market for a good wireless mouse, mainly for fps gaming. My budget is around R2000. Or would it be better going for a wired version. From what I could find I like the:

Logitech 910-005568 G502 Lightspeed RGB 25K DPI Optical Wireless Gaming Mouse

And

Corsair CH-9315511 Dark Core RGB PRO SE Wireless 18,000DPI Optical Gaming Mouse

Any advice will be appreciated

Corsair fanboy here.

The Dark Core is a great mouse, perfomance is great as is the customization (compared to anything I had before). Just take a note though, using it as a daily driver does drain the battery quite quick. Apparently you can upgrade the battery, but I have not yet done this as it did not ship to ZA (when it was in stock).

Kinda a non-issue as you can use the mouse while it charges (looking at you apple).

Can highly recommend Logitech although I have a G-Pro wireless, with R2k you can get an awesome mouse. If you can wait a while black friday always has great deals

@Valheru did you know you get two versions of the Dark Core Pro the normal and the SE, the SE has Qi charging so you can conveniently get the charger for Qi on the desk as the battery life is a poop 36 hours with no RGB on average.... I do appreciate the 2000hz however the G502 gives it a solid run for it's money with lighter weight and better battery life. I am a G502 fanboy however it is not the BEST mouse out there ha ha.

Wireless from Logitech, Razer and Corsair leave little to be desired from a wired mouse these days all their wireless tech is within 1 to 2ms of most of the wired equivalents.

As for FPS you may say weight means nothing but it all depends on your play style as well as the transition from whatever your current mouse is because transitioning for many is not easily done if the upgrade is not in some way similar to what you think you like.

It might be the best to make a list for black Friday and see if any of the candidates are on special 🤔

don't for get to check on amazon as well for black friday

I also forgot to mention the Dark Core Pro is 133g, the Dark Core Pro SE is 142g(with the added Qi functionality) and the G502 Lightspeed is 114g(The G502 battery you're looking at 48hrs plus depending on setup)..... all of these options have normal ptfe feet not special virgin grade or anything.

I could poison you with thoughts of lighter better mice though hmmmmmm

The G603 has become my unexpected end-game mouse.
A single AA battery lasts 4~6 months with 8hr/s day use at low refresh, then I switch high refresh for gaming.
112g with one battery so basically the same as the G502.
You can get the G703 if you really want the rechargeable option but I don't see the point.
Also no lights but again, I don't see the point when it's under your hand...

I've got the Corsair Dark Core Pro SE, it's a gorgeous mouse, RGB for days, comfortable & battery life lasts a week with light usage. Very happy with it, got it on takealot for like R 1550 or something

Coming from a G502 to Model O to Model D to my current G703 its all down to whether your wanting comfort, cable vs wireless, light weight or a mix of both.

The G502 is still the most comfortable mouse I've ever felt or used with how the hand just sits on it. Use it as my daily work mouse. The wireless still tempts me but @ 2k its a very expensive mantle choice

Glorious series mice are just awesome if you get the v2 cable and the wireless to my knowledge are just as good.

My current G703 that I got on an Incredible corruption special is amazing though for its weight vs being wireless (for what I paid it was a better deal than a Model D wireless which was going to be my buy initially)

Best is to see if you can test both mice to see which is most comfortable for your needs and playing style along with a few others as theres plenty in that price range that are damn good.

I like the corsair se wireless charging feature, I can just put it on the phone charger over night and not worry about the battery

I always recommend using RocketJumpNinja's tool for determining best mice. You input your hand size and grip style and it searches his database of mice he's tested over the years for the ideal mouse for you: https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/mouse-search

Currently his top 4 rated mice are all wireless (see rankings here): The Finalmouse Starlight-12 S and M (although you're unlikely to find these in stock I think), Logitech G Pro X Superlight, and Razer Viper Ultimate.

I've had a look there and it also points to the Razor viper ultimate and logitech g pro superlight

Thanks guys I think I'm going to be looking for the Viper ultimate on black Friday if there's no good deals coming on card before then

Using the Dark Core Pro SE myself and the battery lasts about 1.5 days with constant use.
I generally charge it during the night when I go to bed, but on weekends when I came till fuck knows when it runs low.
never died though which is good.
This is also with the RGB enabled etc.

Also jumped on this deal and couldn't be happier, super chuffed with the Logitech quality. Ended up getting G Pro Keyboard as well as a G Pro X headset all because of how much I enjoyed the mouse LOL.

Please don't listen to @superrob ... He knows too much and he will make you want things...

And by this I mean, take the damn man's advice, he knows a thing or two...

Also, every time I talk to the him I buy something...It's becoming a habit...
