Hi,

I currently have a few diamonds that I would like to get evaluated and potentially sell to a jeweler.

Is there anyone that has done this before and where?

I am based in fourways and looking for something close.

Where did get them lol
Having read some cases from Namibia they might have travelled through parts of the human body only a proctologist normally gets paid to probe.

Do they have a certificate of origin or similar?

I know of a guy :ROFLMAO:

My one friend is a jeweler, he can maybe assist?

I've seen this movie... Uncut Gems (2019) - IMDb

In all seriousness you should make extra sure you are conforming to all the legalities of the matter.
As long as it is polished it's fine. Problems come when it is rough or importing and exporting without the disclaimer.

You will need to send it in for assessment to obtain an E.G.L. Certificate of authentication etc. Process can be pricey and can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to get done etc.

EGL takes 3-4 days. GIA takes 3-4 weeks. Certifications can be pricey, its based on the weight of your stones. Its the best way to sell your goods. In order to know what your goods are worth you need to have them certified.
