Alright guys, help a brother out.

So my S7 edge screen is pretty smashed up.

Quote from authorized repair: R4800
Quote from Paki store: R3700

So do I go to a Paki store and get it fixed, then sell it when I get my upgrade in 8 months for, let's say R5000.. netting a R1200 return.. or do I get it fixed professionally, and net pretty much 0 return in 8 months.

Or a third option.. screw them both, buy a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 for R3200 (on special on takealot now) to see me through until my upgrade in 8 months. Could probably sell it for around R2500, making a R700 loss in 8 months, but still having my cracked Samsung which might be sellable for cheap? Not sure.

What would you guys do in my shoes?

Option 4 take pics and post it on the group to see what other options you may have? Hint buy Greekkings S7e LDU and have the International agent open and swap Boards.

My concern is that his is gold, and mine is black. The screen is a "unit" from what I understand. I would need a black one I think?

Gold is cooler plus you'll have a unique phone [emoji14]

It's a Samsung, it's gonna display problems anyways 2 months before your contract is up. :p
I like option 3.

Hmm very tempted to head to Xiaomi now.. But a part of me is saying "ag just fix the samsung... its a better phone"

Take 1 more try. Post the "incident" details on Facebook and ask if they can maybe give you a 50% discount.

If you not going to use the Xiaomi after you upgrade then there is a Xiaomi Note 3 on carb for about R2250, might be the better option

I got a cheap phone till I could get a better phone and it worked well.
I'd wait for someone to post a dead S7 for sale and take the screen from it and sell the phone.
I wouldn't spend the money on an expensive option when your upgrade is so soon.

Very tempting...

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X for R2k (R2.5k including import duties)... but probably a month wait.
Or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (non-x) for R3.2k from takealot, but will have warranty etc and will come soon.
Or this dudes OP3 for R4.2k... but no long wait, and a better phone.

HOWEVER my upgrade is in 8 months... So I dont really need the expensive one.. hmm
