What games are you currently playing?

Pretty much just playing Diablo III: ROS most of the time.

Every now and then I go to Thief or Tomb Raider again as a distraction.

Finally bought Diablo III via Takealot (only R283 including shipping!) and started playing it two days ago. Can I soap box a bit? Do you mind?

I'm an older guy (34, I know is that not that old but sometimes I feel like a grandpa) and I sort of dropped out of what was even a moderate gaming interest into not playing at all and then all of a sudden playing a lot of Diablo II LOD (Easter Sun mod) in those rare moments when I had time to play. I did this for several years. Personally I think Diablo II is one of the best games of all time and, if you ask me, is far more involved and challenging than Diablo III, particularly the modded versions. It's easy to install, migrate your saved games, and is epically vast.

I was a bit annoyed when I received it and attempted to install it - being as out of the loop as I am - that I had to download 3GB to play the game and then continue to 12GB to run it fully patched. Is this the new thing? Games only run online and are gargantuan? They should put, "You need sh*t loads of a bandwidth, dude" on the front of the game instead of "Internet connection required". I'm not even sure the disk spun beyond installing the battle.net agent. Buying what was supposed to be a hard copy was nothing more than a key. Lame. So I wait two days for it to fully download................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................{work}....................."Ah! FINALLY!" I only got to the end of the first act last night.

Anyway, it's a cool game though. They've made it very streamlined and, dare I say, easier to navigate. I like how they've changed the map to permanently on the right. I like that health is just picked up now instead of having to right click or consume a potion from your belt. I like the zoom function when you're battling and I love that they brought back some musical themes from Diablo II. The music was always epic.

I don't like how they've made it online exclusively. The latency is quite bad and the game lags a little bit like when I swipe at a monster and the blows only come in like a second later. Is this normal? Would lowering my gameplay settings help? Currently I'm running everything on max in HD. It looks nice and normal gameplay is very smooth. It just seems like the internet is slowish (I have a solid 2 meg line).

That's it!

Cheers :)

Preordered wildstar. Gonna try out the beta weekend tonight. Super excited. First MMO I can see myself playing after WoW

Since we've closed up shop early today I decided to install Crysis Warhead, which I bought but never came around to playing. Installed it and got drawn into the game quite instantly. Definitely going to be keeping me busy for a while. Also looking into Diablo III as recommended by you guys and then also Thief, however I believe its a bit buggy at the moment?

3.) Wait patiently for Daylight and Outlast DLC

/f***s off his chair. Wait what, there's an Outlast DLC?
How did I miss that... Buying the **** out of that. Thanks a lot for the headsup!

Yip, it's called "Whistleblower" and it should be out close to the end of the month.

Daylight is also quite similar to Outlast and Amnesia and is also coming out at the end of the month.
Except instead of a video camera you now have a smartphone as a torch and you can now use glow sticks and flares to combat the game's enemies (which are ghosts in the abandoned hospital you explore).
It's hilarious watching Pewdiepie's playthrough of it on Youtube :)

Thanks, definitely adding both on my list.
But for tonight I reckon I'll settle for some Goat simulator

South Park - The Stick of Truth... best game I've played in a looooooooooong while! Sometimes a bit monotonous, but as soon as you think it's getting boring, something really messed up happens and you laugh your ass off.

I've just downloaded Blacklight Retribution and it is great, definitely one of the better free to play FPS games.

OK, another thing I don't like about Diablo III...no saved map progress. Why? Bollocks.

Still busy with skyrim's side quests and the best of all is that i lost a months save games now have to make up for that again. Iam also playing boderlands 2 and stalker clearsky (dont know why but i love the difficulty of that game)
