Hi. I have a intel i5 7400 , gtx 1050ti , 16gb of ram . Motherboard gigabyte Ga-b250M-d3h . I play a lot of csgo but i get around 90 fps in cs-go playing at all low settings.
Does any one know if i'm suppose to get these setting because i'm thinking to get a 144hz monitor but i don't have enough frames for it so do i need to upgrade my cpu to a intel i7 7700?

Just use the 2 x 8GB sticks in slots 1 and 3, or 2 and 4. This will enable Dual Channel mode and improve performance.

Can you download HW Monitor and run it, then play a game or do a benchmark? Want to see what your CPU clocks are doing, as well as your temps. Could be a thermal issue.

Are you running the game in full screen, or windowed? What else do you have running in the background?

Also, in CSGO, enable the developer console, then enter it with the tilde key (next to number 1) and type in fps_max 0 .

CS:GO is CPU dependent, but your frames do seem a bit low even for that CPU

Would recommend a different GPU if you are planning on upgrading parts, RX580 should even be fine if it's for CS:GO (you can get them at really affordable prices on Carb). Even though CS is much more CPU dependent, I definitely think you will get a lot more performance out of a better GPU vs CPU, that i5-7500 should suffice. 1050ti is a bit on the low end.

Get MSI Afterburner and enable the OSD. Then you play a game or two while monitoring CPU and GPU usage, and from that you'll have an idea of your bottlenecks if they exist.

I am not sure what you are supposed to get, but I can tell you what I get so it might give you an idea of what you can expect.

I7 7700 non K
2x8GB 2666mhz
GTX 1070
144hz 1080p

Csgo all settings set at max with vertical sync off

I average around 200 to 300 fps. Now and then it will drop below 200fps but not far.

@UrBaN is right. Get your ram sorted out first. Stick with the 2x8GB sticks. While you’re taking the other ram out, take a pic of the Crucial and Adata sticks and post them here. Here’s hoping they’re the same speed/latency. I’m willing to bet XMP is disabled too...

Check your temps on your gpu and cpu. It might be throttling.
