Howzit everyone. Im running Win 11, Qualcomm WCN685x network adapter. For some reason, I have FOUR network adapters listed in Network settings. In device manager it's just the one.
It's the first time I've encountered anything like this. Any thoughts?

Rare that no one on Carb has any thoughts??

Maybe post a pic of what you are seeing. I have see that before but more info could help

Do you have any Wi-Fi issues? (random disconnects/ disappearing etc)

post a screenshot of the 4 network adapters that is shown

Looks like it's reinstalled the devixe a couple times.
Personally, I wouldn't stress, if it's working, then don't worry about it.

The weird thing is that in device manager the physical adapter is only listed once. Normally if windows reinstalls a device it will have. #2, #3 etc in device manager.

Not sure then bud.
Honestly if its not causing any issue, i wouldn't stress to much about it.
Maybe just Windows being windows.

Under device manager in the view dropdown option, enable the option to see hidden devices to check if there are hidden copies. Sometimes when the same hardware disconnects and reconnects and for some reason windows doesn't recognize it as being previously connected, it will generate a new device or hardware id and then the corresponding adaptor for that interface as if it was a completely never seen before new hardware. You should also check to make sure that the physical hardware isn't loose and intermittently disconnecting.

Mhmm. I see you are using vpns and other software on your pc. perhaps even virtual machines?

Each WiFi listing is prolly virtual networks corresponding to your virtual Ethernet adapters.

eitherway you can maybe try - Control panel - network and internet -network and sharing center - Change adapter settings( will be on the left side) - Right click on each wifi and either delete or disable and restart pc
