Hi All,

My PC recently suffered a terrible death thanks to all the power cuts and as a result I have lost 3 Hard Drives. These drives contain some really important files an I really need to retrieve these files. Before sending them for data recovery, I want to be sure that it is not maybe just the circuit boards that I can replace these myself and get them running again, even if it is just long enough to recover my data. Could anyone advise me on where I can get circuit boards, or perhaps assist me with circuit boards. What do I need to look out for?

WANTED - 3 Different Drives
Items Wanted: Western Digital Purple 3TB, Western Digital Green 2TB, Seagate 3TB

Location: Johannesburg
Willing to accept a shipped item: Yes

I am looking for any condition drive, as long as the circuit board/s is still functioning.

Thanks.

you might want to post the model numbers. for example the WD green EARS is a completely different animal to the WD green EADS

Model Numbers of the Hard Drives are:

PLease post clear images of the PCB. 2 seemingly identical drives can have different revisions & BIOS chips / design. I can *maybe* help out with a WD 2TB Green 3.5" PCB.

Otherwise, post the exact model, revision and any other details on the top sticker of the drive, & I'll see if my suppliers can source them new.

Sorry I'm not sure how to properly share the images on here, so I have loaded them to a directory on my personal domain. @ScorpioMan86 is able to assist me with a BIOS chip swap, so I would just need to find identical PCB to make the process easier.

Hi All,

I'm still looking for these PCB's if anyone happens to have any spare drives laying around. See the link to the images in my previous comment showing drive / PCB model numbers.
