Yeah these really are nice sharpeners. If you get the motion right, you'll never chop a veggie or cut a steak with a blunt knife again.

Ah that locking mechanism pretty cool. I got a stone but never gets real sharp cause I struggle to keep the same angle on both sides

Easy fix - a wedge to place the blade on when you move it across the stone. I've managed to get razor sharp from a normal stone before (oiled, of course), but it takes many hours of practice and A LOT of patience and concentration. If you want a quick way to get a decent cutting edge on a blade, get the Warthog. Due to the nature of the device I won't use it on my most treasured knives, but for kitchen and general use knives - for sure.

Warthog works great especially on larger knives,it is just bulky and works best if you have space to keep it assembled.

This is true. I would say it suits a kitchen perfect. Find a place for it and just draw your chef's knife through it when needed and you'll carve roasts like a king.

Yea I used to sharpen knives with a stone a lot but then I stopped for like 5/6 years. Technique completely disappeared haha
