I bought a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD from amazon during black friday and now it seems that the sata port is giving issues as Im getting Ultra-DMA CRC Error Counts on the drive. I tried a different drive on the same port and its works fine. I put the drive in a sata - USB adaptor and I still get Ultra-DMA CRC Errors on crucials software.

If anyone can assist me, it would be appreciated

It varies and depends on their decision and whether its economical to do so. Sometimes they'll refund the shipping costs up to a maximum which I can't recall. It's unlikely you'll get local support as the drive wasn't via a local channel.

It does not hurt to ask Amazon first though.

Hi there.

Yes, I explained that I'm in SA, therefore I cannot return the drive. So they said they will issue the refund. Money reflected in my account 3 days later
