Key for my VW Polo 2011 got damaged. Basically need the part circled in red on the Imgur link. Already stripped the key and tried the same part from an earlier model key but the dimensions are slightly different so unfortunately won't work. If any one has a key lying around from a car that got sold without the spare or got stolen please let me know

My key broke about 3 years ago. I tried using epoxy and pratley to fix it, but did not win. Luckily my key broke at home and I had the spare

My mechanic struggled to get a replacement.

He ended up getting a new generic top part of the fob and cut a new blade.

Good luck finding a key that fits.

Mine broke starting the car up, key in the ignition, so fortunately was able to drive home.

Using the spare for now, so willing to wait a bit and see what comes up - worst case scenario I'll have to get a generic.

Hey man, so sorry forgot to close this thread. Managed to source one off-forum and sorted the key out. Thanks for replying though, much appreciated.
