Job Description/Requirements:

Virtual Realms is excited to announce an upcoming Virtual Reality Arcade/Entertainment Centre located in Canal Walk. Opening December 2018 with room scale experiences and simulated motion driving experiences using the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. We offer a variety of games across different genres to cater for different interests. There are plans develop in phases and plenty of growth for areas we want to expand into. With potential areas of expansion there will be opportunities for career progression in the future.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals who want to be part of an exciting and unique opportunity to introduce virtual reality to the public consumer. From the broad range of different customers ranging from the novice player to the elite gamer. You will be the customers first point of contact to get them familiar with the VR hardware and all the experiences and games that await.

Responsibilities

• Help create a professional and positive environment for our customers
• Provide customers with information on VR games, equipment and pricing structure
• Provide customers with information on VR safety systems and game assistance/troubleshooting
• Assist the customer when entering VR booths/putting on the VR headsets
• Operating the POS and booking systems
• Set up, test new VR games and prepare cheat sheets for game controllers
• Start the VR systems for use and shutdown
• Handling customer issues
• Light cleaning of surrounding areas and VR equipment
• Opening and closing procedures of store
• Cashing up and end of shift

Requirements & Experience

• Friendly demeanor in customer service
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience in retail is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Self driven attitude and disciplined
• Able to work with children
• A team player and able to be flexible on shifts/overtime and shift staff rotation
• Ability to learn software and hardware functions of computer
• Learn how to troubleshoot any issues that may arise due to software or hardware of the VR system

Preferable Traits

• Already have some knowledge of high-end VR hardware and the underlying systems they run on
• Knowledgeable with streaming platforms and related software
• Experience playing video games (preferably computer based)
• Source information on upcoming VR related software and hardware
• Aptitude for basic technical troubleshooting or can learn quickly basic technical aspects and techniques
