Hi. I am looking for someone who can help me get these cameras (and then hopefully more later) into the hands of young people who are unable to afford cameras, but keen to explore the world of photography. A school without these facilities would be ideal. If anyone can help, PM me and let's chat. I'm happy to pay this and more forward without receiving anything in return, I just need help.

Items:
Nikon J1 with double zoom kit (10mm-30mm, 30mm-110m) [was working but now no power]
Nikon Coolpix S6300
Samsung DV100
Samsung ES91
Samsung HMX-F80
Samsung F70 / F74
Samsung VP-D363i
HP V5560u
JVC GZ-EX255BAG
Polaroid Waterproof 16mp camera
Canon Powershot A2500
Sony Actioncam HDR-AS15

Age: Newest items are from 2015, the rest are before
Warranty: No
Condition: Mixed but mostly great
Location: Midrand
Shipping: I can drop off if nearby, otherwise will need someone to pay for shipping

Though it seems the OP's intention is more towards charity, not towards placing an obligation on the recipient(s)?

Edit: We need a charity section ;)

Good point about not giving others the obligation, perhaps pics as proof? I worry when taking charity pics because then people think that's the only reason you did it, but maybe it's the best option.

Instead of having pics, have the kids do an actual project. mini shoot/ video 2 birds with one stone.

OP, if you find a school or something you want to send all off to I can sponsor the shipping. Hope this goes to a good cause but the suggestion of making the kids do a project is a good idea.

Sent you a PM. I am involved in the development sector and will reach out to organisations I have worked with to see if any of them are engaged in youth work that would benefit from your donation.

Tell you guys what. The dude that takes this PIF and actually uses it for charitable reasons (and I'll need proof), won't need to post a PIF in response.

ANYONE else will have to.

Would love one of these for my events. Part of Neighborhood Watch projects where i record speeches and also the actual events such as anti drug marches, or where we hand out food during various times of the year etc. Would love the HP Video Camera, and would be willing to pay a postnet to postnet on behalf of somebody as a PIF, even though you said i dont have to.

I unfortunately had to get rid of my old Video camera, as it became buggy and would stop recording in the middle of filming.

If not, then hopefully these will go to a really good home, and well done to That Lucid Guy. Im sure there are loads of great charitable organisations this can go to. Salute Man

Here was my last event with my old camera. :)

and also more of the work that we do within our community of Mitchells Plain

Hey guys.

I've decided to go with Dopplegarp's recommendation and contact, however I want to still keep other's who are willing to PIF on the radar too because I want to try and make this a regular thing. I still need to get more photographer friends onboard because using the cameras properly requires training.

Unfortunately if you are an individual wanting a camera, I can't really count you otherwise I won't have anything to actually PIF with to people who are really disadvantaged. My inbox was crazy and I really wish I had a cam for everyone here. Once I get this rolling then we can talk...

I'll update progress when I can for those interested.

Thanks!
