Pardon my ignorance, but does EOL just mean that they won't be getting any more firmware upgrades or do they also no longer work with the current version controller software?
If only the former, then I'll be interested in one.

Hi it just means that they wont be any firmware updates for the devices, I am currently running the AP on the latest 6.2.25 controller with no issues.

I thought the latest controller version prevents setup/adoption of EOL devices....am I mistaken?

this is indeed correct i have also tried adopting EOL aps and after adoption it says disconnected and never comes back so u have to reset them and the cycle begin again u could however adopt them on an old controlled config them and then plug and play

Well, If I can't add it on 6.2.25.0 and get it to place nice (mesh) with my other Unify APs, then it's of no use to me.
I don't want a standalone device. I need it to replace a TP Link AP and expand my mesh system with central control/monitoring via the controller.

Afaik,6.1.71 is the last controller to support the End-of-support UAP/UAP-LR (but this version does support meshing if you can live without newer features/updates on the controller and older APs)

I'm already on the latest version; not going back to previous versions and potentially crippling my new devices.

Relevant note: Downgrading firmware is as easy as upgrading
Crippling lol dramaaaaaaa

HI All so I have reset the Aps and configured them on the latest controller Version 6.2.25 , See pictures below:

The aps does adopt and work successfully like I said it is only firmware updates that will no longer be working. You will need to reset the Aps couple of times to let it pick up an IP from your router.

I will test every Ap before I ship it.
