I recently moved my PC desk in my house and had to move the router and UPS as well. Everything works fine but there is now is huge clutter of wires behind my desk that looks so unsightly.

Can anyone recommend any places in SA where I can find some under desk cable management trays? Takealot only has one option and doesn't look good aesthetically.

It needs to be at least 35cm long to fit my multiplug and must be able to be secured via clamps or self adhesive tape as I have a tempered glass PC desk (no drilling of screws are possible then).

If no good local options are available then I would be open to look at forum members' Amazon recommendations.

Used to have something like the below, which I mounted to the backing board of my desk (not sure what it's called - the board that goes under the table and kinda hides everything behind it). Screwed it down, attached velcro via cable ties to it, which held up power bricks/cables etc. Worked pretty well, sometimes a little annoying to unwire cables but not too bad.

I did recently change this out to those cable trays you can find on Takealot, had butcher them as I wanted to use an L-shaped bracket and attach them to the backing board, instead of attaching them to the actual desk. Slightly easier to remove/add stuff.

If your desk doesn't have that backing board, and you're worried about aesthetics, have a look at my first method above, as it can fit quite flush to the underside of your desk.

I've given up on finding a lekker solution locally. I want to sort out all the tables in our office (10 standalone tables), and decided I am going to DIY something like the below:

You can get these 'cable management nets' on Amazon, but I have not seen them locally.

As I can't drill into my tempered glass table I have two options for cable management trays:

Self adhesive tray or a tray that is fastened via clamps. It needs to be 35cm+ long to house my multiplug and small UPS.

Has anybody ever used one of the above-mentioned methods? Just want to know how secure and long lasting it would. Don't want to order from Amazon and then it's flimsy or not very secure

Depending on the quantity of plugs & cable bundles. You may run into weight issues with some adhesives. I have two 72cm cable management racks under my table, it’s incredibly solid but unfortunately it needs to be screwed in. I found a decent alternative which uses a tension mounting mechanism. It should be far more secure than using adhesive.

I’ve used heavy duty double sided tape to mount multi plugs in my garage workshop, one full roll of Pattex double side tape is rated to hold up to 120KG. Although once it’s adhered it can be a mission to remove. The 3M tapes are better but far costlier. I also use re-usable velcro straps from cable creation to further neaten everything.
