UK internet speed test

What Telkom should do: invest in various and different internet services that are currently available overseas and up to date and would make them money thus, turning the company around as it's losing money hand over fist. The share price has dropped considerably.

What they do: Provide overpriced under performing internet that has smaller and smaller margins and the price is dropping every day reducing the feasibility of just selling internet connections.

We want proper fiber optic!

What you need to understand is that England is like 130 000 square km, and South Africa is 1 200 000 square km, so providing "last mile" infrastructure in SA is nothing short of a nightmare, and the fact that we are a third world corrupt country does not help either. TBH we ARE going forward in regards to internet speeds, not as fast as we all would like, but we are. Think back at what speed we were getting 5 years ago

My friend from the UK sent me this in the morning. It would be a dream to reach these kinds of speeds in SA :(

Would be great, but these speeds are available in SA, just depends how deep your pockets go.

Here's a speed test I did just now:

I see you your 90mbps and raise you a few more ;)

All cool these speeds you guys are posting, but would be more informative if you add how you getting it and if its at home or work

Also, run those test further that 50mi or outside US :)

It's called line aggregation (Bonded ADSL) and fibre solutions and it's business. If you want that at home you have to be Bill Gates.
