I was using it daily up to a few months ago. With DD-WRT I have used it as a gateway with QoS rules, a wireless repeater, and a wireless client for a desktop.

Not familiar with mesh wifi, but I suspect it needs dual-band? Either way, the firmware on there can't do it, and I doubt there is updates for it.
