1. Assasins Creed - Black Flag
Just recently started this and I just can't stop! I hate that I have to go to work just because I want to keep sailing the 7 seas lol. Arrgh!

2. Saints Row IV
LOL, I laughed from the start of this game till the end, after I played 3 in 2012 I knew this would be the most fun game of this year for me. SUPERPOWERS!

3. Crysis 3
Played all 3, loved the story and gameplay from the start till the end, graphics was just a mega bonus!

4. Tomb Raider
LARA CROFT IN ALL HER B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L GLORY, the gameplay was amazing on this and so was the graphics, and so was Lara, and so was Lara, and so...

5. Batman - Arkham Origins
Arkham City was better for me, but even this game RULES!

6. COD - Ghosts
I really don't know why everyone preferred BF4 over this, really Ghosts was a great game graphically, and the Campaign was waaaay longer than BF4.

7. Battlefield 4
Graphics...

8. FIFA 14
FIFA 14 on my PC, just another reason I love owning a PC over a console! And the physics of the players in this game, WOW!

9. Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
Another console to PC port, and it is brilliant graphically and gameplay and story for a Fighter genre, must have a controller for this though, to enjoy it fully.

10. Injustice Gods Among Us
I wanted a PS3 so bad when this game was released, I almost cried just to play it... Almost, Arggghh PC wins again!!! Hahaha!

Honourable mention 2012
11. Far Cry 3
Because the gameplay and beautiful landscapes on this is UNTOUCHABLE! except by Black Flag this year

Games I'm looking forward to for 2014:
1. Watch Dogs
2. Plants VS Zombies - Garden Warfare
3. GTA V - IT WILL COME TO PC, I KNOW IT, I JUST DO

That's why awards ceremonies have categories like "best cinematography", "best lighting", "best score", etc.

On a personal note, COD and BF are both terrible Single Player experiences. They are built from the ground up around their multiplayer.

Saying COD's SP is better than BF's is like saying rotting horse tastes better than rotting cow.

Would have been number 2 on my list bud, but was released 2012, Blood Dragon was released this year, that was one funny game, I'll place it lucky number 11 Oh and if you enjoyed Far Cry 3 as much as I did, give Black Flag a try, very similar gameplay, but your a pirate Arrggghh!

That would be correct, I prefer Single Player, that's just what I enjoy. Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Multiplayer games like Americas Army, God Mode, Left for Dead, etc, but my friends and I only ever play those at LAN party's, which let's be honest, is more about drinking than playing games On another note, I'm from the era of RPG games like Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, etc, games with feeling, a story, a meaning. Maybe this will explain what I'm trying to say...

I think you have me mistaken, I haven't based any of this solely on graphics and since I'm no professional reviewer, I may have not added the extra reviews based on sound, gameplay, etc. This is just a list of games I enjoyed playing for 2013, both the gameplay and graphics amongst other things, but mostly the gameplay as I complete all their campaigns, maybe not 100% complete but the main campaigns lol. But like VPII says, each to his/her own.

Well said, couldn't have said this better, RILEY is the best addition to COD Ghosts, It was something new and amazing, that's where BF4 lost me - same *** just looks better(Graphics).

Not at all. It is very open-ended, you need to survive by salvaging goods and stalking prey. Various factors also come into play like the weather and the fact that you can't run very long up hills etc.

The standalone is one I will be buying once it's official - paying so much for an Alpha release doesn't bode well with me

I so love the helmets

I heard once it's beta or early release, expect to pay close to 50/60$.

The alpha ain't to bad, buggy as hell, but crashes a lot less compared to BF4, and the hit reg is spot on

Jokes a side. It will be epic once closer to release. Each time there is an update, I loose my character . Was fully kitted with an M4 and loads if ammo.

1) Bioshock Infinite
2) Dota 2
3) FTL
4) War Thunder (biggest surprise for me as Free to Plays are normally not to my liking, but this is pure win)
5) Battlefield 3
6) Shogun 2 (oldish game, but played it again this year and to me its superior to Rome 2 in many ways)
7) Company of Heroes 2- not as great as COH 1, but its not bad by any stretch, just not as "wow" as the original was in its time.

Yea, thats pretty much my gaming for the year, a bit of other games like Chivalry and others, but these were my favourite.

How could I not remember "Remember Me" but on another note, NFS Rivals? seriously? Did you really like it, I honestly thought it was another flop NFS game. I won't be happy until there's an Underground 3 and the main girl should be Emma Watson lol.

Everyone forgot about remember me I actually enjoyed rivals for quite a bit, very different feel from the usual NFS games. I personally think that NFS The Run is one of the best NFS games to come out recently.

Disliking is all good in my books. But honestly, you're saying COD's story is better than BF's. I'm saying they are both bad in terms of single player experiences, especially on the PC platform.

I can agree I've preferred COD's story to BF's as well .
