It was either the 680S or 700S as far as I recall?

The one where they had heat shielding over the spoiler to product it? The engine could sit lower and the dynamics of the engine were enhanced with the change.

Ya it had that part of the spoiler that was a different material. 600LT apparently. The magic of it was the exhaust pipes didn't have run down to the the bottom of the car again so they saved all that weight that the extra stainless pipes would have added. It wasn't an insignificant amount.

But while I was googling I for the 700S, I found this which, which is a similar design, and the spoiler seems to only come out when needed.

Yeah, that’s it. Clever engineering.

Maclaren seem to have some really great innovations and designs but, judging by Hoovies purchase of the MP4-12C, not very reliable.

Even Ed off VinWiki says stay away from one.

idk how I feel about the GT.... I like the look of their cars ...

this one feels like they have taken an older shape ... done plastic surgeory and added and changed and tightened....

and we have like .... the Joan Rivers equivalent of Mclaren Cars
