Hey y'all!

We are new here but we are also old here. This account is being managed by @Xormac and @eyesuc and between the 2 of us we have positive feedback of more than 120 (and counting).

We want to offer cheap 3d printing services at a rate of R7.50 per hour. This price includes the filament/plastic (all the basics: PLA, PETG, ABS, SBS).
This rate is about half if not less than what most others charge. Some charge up to R50 per hour but obviously they print with filament woven from unicorn silk. We will show some examples below of what that R7.50 per hour translates to.
As a side note, the "hours" is calculated on a print speed of 50mm/s which is common for bed slinger printers. This speed gives great print quality.

We generally don't print kaggelkakkies (technical term for statues, or useless stuff that eventually end up in the bin), but if you need something along those lines we can try to help or at least point you in the right direction.

Please compare our prices to some of the other printing services and let us know if we are being crazy or they are.

So here's some stuff we've made:

Dual DualSense Charging Dock - 24 hours * R7.50 = R180

Exo Suit Mobile phone stand - 34 hours * R7.50 = R255

Skeletonized Headphone Stand (2 variants) - 20 hours * R7.50 = R150

Succulent planter: Roman Terrace - 29 hours * R7.50 = R217.50

We have handed over our first commission for a Carbonite customer. The client designed this adapter/bracket themselves and just asked us to print it for them. 13 hours, printed in Black PETG

Question, as I know nada about 3D printing.

Coffee percolator jug. Has a plastic surround/edge over the top. Plastic is ageing & perishing, Bosch have discontinued spares for the unit.

How viable would it be to have the existing one scanned (before it is completely kaput) and a new one scanned to fit?

You must be seriously attached to this jug! Probably easier to just get measurements and print from that as opposed to 3D scanning. An opportunity to correct what may be an inherent design flaw perhaps? Actually probably easier just getting a new coffee machine with a new jug? Sounds like it's paid it's dues and it's time to put it out it's misery if you ask me.

Sentimental value - It was a present - from my wife. Has seen regular duty for 20 years & still works perfectly, except for the plastic surround of the glass jug! I mean we've had it for 20 years and haven't even chipped or broken the glass jug :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Plus it brews a decent cup of coffee & the hot plate keeps the coffee HOT - unlike most of the rubbish sold in the last 10 years which keeps it lukewarm in my experience!

Hey Trompie!

It is totally viable to print it, the issue would be with the scanning. It would be CRAZY expensive compared to the actual printing. As @Qui_Illustrati correctly pointed out, better to just measure and go from there. Depending on the complexity of the part it might take a few tries to get it just right, unless there is already a model available for this (although by the sounds of it, this machine is old enough to vote).

If you would be so kind, pop us a DM and we can see if we can assist. It is sometimes hard to do these kind of things remotely since we don't have access to the original items, but with a bit of effort I'm sure we can figure it out.

We have already done a few custom designs for Carbonite members, will post more information about that at a later stage :)

Much like the other clowns on this forum, we also do kids' parties!

What you see here is 1kg of printed kids toys (flexi toys, whistles, infinity cubes, etc) so this pic gives you a good idea about how far one spool of filament can go.

We have been melting a lot of plastic the last few weeks, and it is all thanks to Carbonite.
Thank you very much for all the support, we appreciate it very much.

If you need any X-mas prezzies 3d printed for your loved ones (or a poop emoji for your work rival) hit us up! There are a few weeks left before D-Day.

100% recommend.

Amazing quality and service and helped me out with something I wasn't finding in the shops in time for an anniversary 🫡

Just like the rest above, I can highly recommend @Dropforg3d , awesome quality, great prices, friendly and easy to deal with. Can't go wrong.
