I recently got a new 750W power supply Ion Gold 750W (along with a whole new PC build) and everything thing seems to be fine except when I have to turn it on after it's been off for a while (~24 hours or less). I hear a pop or see a bright blue/white spark in the case when I switch the PSU on but the PC works fine otherwise with no issues.
Trying to figure out what might be the issue. I have the entire tower connected to a surge protector plug + multiplug, so I don't think it's the actual supply of power to the tower. I'm very concerned about this as just under a month ago my old build just refused to come on and hence why I had to get this new build which includes a 40 series card. Also unsure if this is related or not, but it seems like alot of stuff in our house has been going recently due to surge or damages caused by Load shedding. Our Geyser, the alarm PCB etc.
Can anyone advise/assist with this how do I stop this or protect my tower? Thanks.
EDIT 1 24/09/23:
So I decided to look through the tempered glass properly when I turned it on this morning and it turns out the "Spark" I had been seeing was actually just my RGB fans coming on for a second or less. This still does not explain the pop/crack sound I hear when turning on the PSU.
EDIT 2 03/12/23
The noise has either stopped or is now extremely miniscule but based on that, Edit 1 and Switch's comment below, I'm currently concluding it's likely just inrush current.
