FidelityFX Super Resolution i.e. AMD upsampling
Oh thanks for the info, and here I was thinking it is something to do with Crypto...
That is great news for me, I didn't know it was going to be released that soon. Fortunately I still have another AMD card that will be able to use it.

@affxct Congrats on your RTX3080 BTW!

Thanks I guess… I did get it at a somewhat ok price, but it’s not the 90 that I so badly wanted. I probably sound like a child but it is what it is.

I hope you enjoy it in the meantime and hope that you soon can get the 3090 that your heart desires.

Haha nah that’s never gonna happen. I won’t sell this card. Don’t have the energy hunting for cards anymore, and I think all my GPU listings annoy people on this forum.

Man this is a good pricing and I literally would not mind trying the 6900xt as I do not care much for Raytracing just a pity it runs better with a full AMD system my only gripe
Uhm, from personal experience I can assure you that all four of the big Navi cards worked amazingly with my 9900K and Re-BAR enabled. Don’t let AMD marketing fool you, these cards kinda feel better in game than Ampere does… Queue people coming at me with pitchforks.

You are more than welcome to give it a try ;).

If you are talking about SAM (Smart Access Memory) aka. Resizable Bar then I haven't found it to have a significant impact on the games that I play. As far as I know it only has an extreme impact on AMD sponsored titles like AC Valhalla.

Been gaming on a 2080Ti HOF 10th anniversary edition for what feels like ages since getting rid of the 3080s ha ha, was in no way a fan of 3070 performance. I'll give it some thought but knowing the current market I'll blink and their pricing will have doubled

I look forward to hearing from you.
(In my opinion Nvidia definitely wins in the percentage price increase per month category. RTX3070's listed on Wootware in January for +-R14,000 are now listed for +-R24,000)

Bump

In my opinion a RX6900XT represents great value (ignoring DLSS) compared to what Nvidia's RTX3080's & RTX3090's are selling for at the moment.

It's the fastest 1080p-1440p card and FSR comes out on Tuesday. I would buy this card but I can't bring myself to scalp my 3080.

Hmm wouldn't mind swapping out my 6800xt for this. Thinking about it.
Good day @durimotara, thank you very much for the interest.
Please let me know if you would like me to send you any benchmark results.

I also have a Dell S2721DGFA and this card truly makes good use of the screen's 165Hz refresh rate in almost any (non-ray tracing) game. Your 6800XT MERC 319 Black is already a great card!

Will this run comfortably on a 850watt PSU?

It will run perfectly, I tested it with a Fractal Design 760W Platinum & Super Flower 850W gold PSU's.
I'll quickly double check, but I think it only pulls 300W-330W max on either the stock 'Quiet' or 'Balanced' Bios.

I have just run Time Spy benchmarks while using HWiNFO64 to log the power usage.

When Using the stock 'Rage' mode on AMD Adrenalin software the 'TGP-Power' Max = 308W and 'TGP-Power' Average = 305W during 'Graphics Test' 1 & 2.
When using 'Manual' mode on Adrenalin and setting the power slider to +15% gives 'TGP-Power' Max = 333W and 'TGP-Power' Average = 327W during 'Graphics Test' 1 & 2.
