Greetings,
My Samsung printer has finally shit the bed and needs to be replaced. I want to stay clear of any SAMSUNG / HP printers as I have unlimited crap with these brands.

I need a 3 in 1 / 4 in 1 mainly concered about the auto doc feeder for scanning purposes - I do very limited printing but want something that works as and when I need it to.

I bought a Canon M237 FW and it was a nightmare trying to find the correct software for the print and scan drivers. When I eventually got it working the ADF would keep jamming on the first page.
Do I need to fork out around 8k for a decent, reliable, easy to use printer ?

The first company to make one at ANY price point will do very well for themselves.

The three things dreaded in IT:

Printers
Networks
Printers on networks

For anyone who cares....
I bought a Brother T820DW based upon the feedback in this post. Setup was a breeze (even setting it up as a network printer) - probably the most painfree experience you can have vis-a-viz printers.

Thanks everybody!

I recall reading somewhere that the newer Brother printers have issues with generic cartridges ,

So if you planning to go down that route. Just check out this aspect

Also check whether you can continue printing if one toner out of four runs empty. My older JP would continue to print (albeit in a funny color) but my newer HP just stops completely.

My family runs a home business and we’ve been through 4 printers in the 5 years we’ve been open. Unfortunately in the fine print of printers most of them are only able to print 20-40k pages and we print a lot. We’re looking into a rental option where ink is provided as our previous printer cost 12k and it kakked in a year of usage. I’d suggest finding a rental option where they provide ink
