Shipping from the USA - Best way if bought by a friend

Hey all,
I have a friend in the USA at the moment, and would like to buy a new laptop.
The laptop is at bestbuy - tried to use scotts shipping but beleive they dont support Best Buy.
If my friend bought it for me, what would be the best and safest way to ship it to me here in South Africa - and customs process etc.

Any help appreciated!

I can tell you what not to use USPS because it will get handed over to the post here. But you probably already knew that. I would encourage you to get insurance on it and signature required.
