Hi guys.

I'm sure most of you would have seen the previous order at some stage :)

For the newcomers:

I'm facilitating another order for Sennheiser products (Headphones/IEM's) from an authorized US reseller at discounted prices (PM me if you want their web address)

Have a look at the previous order thread as most general questions have already been answered there:

Sennheiser Import

The previous order took 6 days from ordering till receiving the goods.

The rules for this order will be as follows:

1) Please keep all website/pricing queries to pm (as Prophecy also stocks these products)

2) For the order to be cost effective we need at least 3 items.

3) The order date will be decided once everyone's product requests have been received and stock has been confirmed.

4) After I pm everyone the final quote for their item(s) all funds will be EFT'd to an account that I will provide, I will only order after all the funds have cleared.

5) If the item you want is not in stock and will take longer than a week to get in stock, we'll have to arrange a alternative/cancel your part of the order.

6) Delivery will be through SAPO Speed Services or Collection directly from me.

7) The total cost is as follows (Max cost):

Total $ cost of items in cart x 0.85 x exchange rate x 1.1 (excise duty) x1.14 (VAT)

If you want a more accurate quote, please pm me and I'll send you one.

Please note that there is a 15% product wide discount (included in the above calculation as 0.85) so take that into consideration before choosing a model.

All Sennheiser products carry Worldwide warranties, so repair/replacement in future won't be a problem.

And lastly, I only facilitate this order, I don't make any profit on the items imported (this is for the love and betterment of audiophiles in SA :D).

Please PM me if you have any questions/suggestions/requests.

Looking forward to another great order!

Just picked up my headphones from the previous order , just wanted to say what a pleasure it was , cerberus made it absolutely painless . And may I add the HD558's sound fantastic :D

Thanks Flash! It was my pleasure :D

I'm glad you like the 558's already, I'm sure they'll sound even better once they are fully burned in :)

I've replied to the first few pm's. If I've skipped you, please pm me a poke :)

A few of you have inquired towards the HD800

The site does not stock them normally, I'll contact them tomorrow and find out whether they can source it for us and the pricing of it.

If only the HD 598 came in another color. :(
Would buy it in a heartbeat.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

You mad?! They are SO sexy! I basically made the choice to take them over the HD650 because they're so sexy, but alas, they were out of stock, so was forced to make the better choice and take the HD650, as it's for audio and not the looks.

Unfortunately I have not had the chance to hear them yet, been hecticly busy at work and home.

Thanks again cerberus for the amazing service you deliver. Top guy.

I am keen on a pair of those HD449's but will only be able to get them at the end of the month. Will be my portable headphones :)

Really wish they would get the 448's back in stock. Cerberus, do you know peeps that you can ask?

PS who gets the voucher when the shipment comes in? :)

@ reaper84

I'll email the owner and ask what the eta for the 448's are.

As for the voucher, if you looks at the terms and conditions, most of the popular models (650/5xx/4xx) series is excluded from the offer, so it's quite hard to get the voucher.

If we do get the voucher, I'll distribute it to each person pro rata to the total cost of their part of the order.

Thanks for all the replies.

Looks like it’s going to be the HD 558.
Must say the HD 650 is very tempting but just to much.

I am looking through reviews of the 518's and apparently they leak so much sound, its as if you don't have headphones on at all. Might as well be speakers attached to your head.

Hope this is not the case with 558's as well or don't you mind?

I think I might have to look at a closed design :(

@saint ygpm

@reaper84 It will depend where you want to use the headphones, it's definitely not a set for work though :)

Unfortunate, as closed design generally cannot rival open design for audiophile quality/sound stage. As such, all Sennheiser >HD5xx are advertised for 'Personal listening'.

Update:

A few of you have asked to delay the order till the end of the month for financial reasons.

I'll keep this thread updated with any progress.

Please pm me if you have any questions.

Thanks guys

Update 2 for today :)

The 558/449/s are back in stock (I'll try and find out how many they have)

All pm's replied to.

I've gotten a few pm's asking what is included in the estimated amount I provide to you:

The amount includes all costs (shipping/VAT/Excise duties).

Please note that although I try to keep the amount as accurate as possible, due to exchange rate differences/ possible extra VAT charges, the amount may vary (I've been bang on with the 2 past orders though :))

Quick question, will the PC 333D's or PC 360's need something like a Xonar or 7.1 Soundcard.

Currently just using onboard sound: Gigabyte EX-58 UD4P
Realtek ALC889A codec
High Definition Audio
2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
Support for Dolby® Home Theater
Support for S/PDIF In/Out
Support for CD In

Is that sufficient or *should* I also be looking at getting a more substantial sound card? Could be an expensive upgrade.

My current headphones for Gaming are starting to give me sound problems (Plantronics from Incredible) on the plus side, they lasted a few years...

Thanks in advance.

The 333 is rated at 32ohms whereas the pc360's are rated at 50ohms, they will both be very easy to drive, even from onboard due to their low impedance.

However, if you want to get the most out of them, I'd always recommend getting a dedicated soundcard (even a Xonar dg is much better than onboard).

Personally, I'd first get the headphones and if you feel you want more out of them, you can always get a better soundcard later on.

+1 for the U3, really great value (saw it for R280 somewhere :)) I just bought a DG to bide me over till I get a bifrost, at R328 it's really cheap, we'll see how my 650's like it :D

Quick update:

Looks like there is enough interest to justify an order.

Could everyone interested please pm me a preferred date (time frame) for the placement of the order, as I need to confirm stock/lead times for out of stock items.

Thanks for all the interest so far!

All pm's replied to.

Just a reminder, the order is only for Sennheiser products (headphones/iem's/mics) as the site only stocks sennheiser products.
