Sea of Thieves

Hi All

After recently watching quite a bit of Summit1G on Twitch I have gotten the game Sea of Thieves and I can confirm that it is as much fun as he makes it out to be.

For those of you who don't know it is a game developed by Rare and Microsoft and you are a pirate that sails that 7 seas. You can go on different treasure hunts to accumulate reputation (which unlocks more difficult treasure hunts) and coin (which is used to buy cosmetic items in game). Or if you prefer you can roam the seas and strike unsuspecting ships and take their loot. There are also NPCs like the Kraken and Megalodon which you can fight and rewards you with loot if successful.

Point of my post ... if there are any of you playing the game and looking at getting into it give me a shout. My xbox name is Just Joubs so add me and lets go sailing. The game is much more fun if you have a crew

PS: You can get the game via the windows store, I play on PC. Their is a 14 day free trail for gamepass and the game is included in that. After that the first month is R5 ... the game costs R999 so that isn't a bad deal for 45 days worth of gaming. I think after that it is R150, but you get access to like 70 game and the games are changed.

I played it when it first came out. It was boring as shit, and that was the biggest critique the game got at that stage. Everything you did was just to unlock cosmetics. Did they implement changes to fix that?

I hope they did. I've signed up for the first month R5 Xbox Game Pass thing to try it out... hope it's worth it. Had to pretty much allow Windows complete Telemetry control to get Windows Store to even start downloading it. If I find whoever's bright idea that was...

Nope they didn't. Recently played and the only thing you can spend your hard earned gold on is cosmetics. It was fun for a while tho.

Did they not say that dedicated / private (self hosted) servers are coming soon, which would solve any ping worries? or did I read that for another game?
