Hello good people of Carbonite. I am looking for someone who has either the 24" or 27" version of the above monitor and an R9 series AMD graphics card. I have been having a certain issue with this combination of hardware and would like to confirm a few things if you dont mind the trouble.

Would you mind posting the issue? Maybe it has happened on other monitors as well...

This monitor does not come on/detect signal with an R9 series GPU, all other GPUs it works properly. The workaround to this issue is to pre install AMD drivers for the GPU but if I dont already have an AMD card this becomes a problem and then need to use another monitor to install the drivers etc before moving back to the samsung.

That's strange...I know my BenQ XL2720Z sometimes gives me No Input Detected and then I'm forced to plug out my cable at the GPU, never heard about yours before though.

Is the card running at 144hz?

Is there any specific setting on the monitor that is set up as well as the card?

Also what connection does this happen on? DP, HDMI, DVI

Not sure what you are asking by if the card runs 144hz but once drivers are loaded the card works fine 120hz HDMI and 144Hz DP.

The only meaningful option in the monitor osd setting I see that could have an effect is displayport version and I have tested both versions 1.1 and 1.2.

Issue happens on all R9 series AMD cards, not specific to any one card and happens on HDMI and DP. This monitor doesn't have any other display inputs such as DVI etc.

Cool, just want to try and narrow down on finding and replicating the issue.

I don't want to sound like a :poop: but if you know this a known issue, why go through confiming it if it is confirmed somewhere else😅

I have googled and can't find anyone else with this problem and I'm suspecting it's only my monitor with this issue.

Im planning on selling it or maybe trying to get it replaced/rmad but if selling I would like the buyer to know it's specifically my monitors issue or if it's common across all of the same models.

@Sunless_Quazar This sound similar to an issue that I have experienced. My screen sometimes only comes on when you hit the windows login screen from a cold boot and when you have installed a new card it does not come on until Windows have installed the driver for the screen. I have experienced this with quite a few different cards AMD and Nvidia.
